She was Hebrew for sure, but Jewish? If I’m not mistaken she was of the tribe of Benjamin, not Judah.

Esther was as common a name for a girl in Persia then, as it is here today. Actually, in Hebrew it's Alef-Samech-Tav-Reish, and the root is 'Samech Tav Reish' (Sey Tair), which means "Hidden". The 'whole megilla' (scroll) from 'Megillot', which means "Revealings" - or "revelations", plural. Long understood by the Sages that it is up to the reader to find the many hidden messages within 'the whole Megilla of Esther'.

Esther was a gentile and was adopted by Mordecai.

She does not appear to be gentile, to me at least, but she ( Hadassa) got a (false) gentile name .... Esther 2:20 Esther still had not revealed her lineage or her people, just as Mordecai had instructed. She obeyed Mordecai’s command, as she had done under his care.

Many Jews who were raised to positions if prominence, under pagan kings/pharaohs, were given pagan names. As Yosaf was, as Daniel was, as Hadassah was. (Daniel says he was called Belteshazzat). It was a common practice in ancient times. Even Shaul when adopted by Paulus, used that name (Paul) that's the name western/Gentile believers know.

NO, Esther was the daughter of Mordecai's Uncle - so she was a first cousin, blood related - how can you say she was a gentile?

The excessive screaming is ear-piercing; not necessary; detracts from the narrative. And worst, mispronouncing the name of the book, and calling Esther Jewish? Jacob's name was changed to Israel, and he had 12 sons, from which 12 different groups/nations of people arose, the tribe of Benjamin being the one Esther belonged to . The Israelites of the old testament are not simply Jews or Hebrews. Jacob did not have just one son. There is a brief outline of the characteristics of each of the different groups that would arise from Israel's 12 sons (the section where Jacob before his death gathered them together); so it's quite obvious they do not all make up the Jewish people exclusively. This common misconception is a serious misreading of the scriptures and betrays a reluctance to study the Bible with the depth and seriousness it truly deserves.
