Thank you I can enjoy watching you teach, and learn more in one hour. Than I ever learned Sunday School growing up. Or in my own study. My Bible came alive for the first time and I understood it way more, now I'm addicted thank you. Can't wait to see what's next. Welcome back.

I love these stories from Michael Rood. He knows the customs & understands & explains it exactly like it was in those days.

Michael has a warped view of Vashti’s motives. He mentions “men need honor and respect,” but he doesn’t apply that to women, that also is a problem to this very day. Vashti refused to be paraded around as the kings “trophy wife “ because of her integrity.

Oh my, what a great story. And Michael makes it so much richer by his story telling. Not that they are just stories but truth. God bless everyone in the world!

I see Vasti as a picture of the church system. As we see churches dwindling,a picture of Vasti, being banished from the kingdom because they say Torah has been done away with.

This teaching of Michael’s is his interpretation of a story that we cannot know of the true details - not the intent of Vashti. Michael assumes her heart and motives and seemingly does not consider that the King knew she was entertaining likely a large group also. He could have denied the men at his gathering their request to oogle his beautiful wife and defended her dignity as his wife and Queen. Seems that would have been more honorable. That said, it opened the door for Hadassah to take her place in history.

Love his passion and drama! I hope he puts the same drama into the mysteries not visible in chapters 8-9-10.

New Re-subscriber here. Thank you! I take a lot of what you've said about culture and put it in my own Bible Studies. Culture is SO lost on Americans! I am on. LOL. Thank you for this series. I've only begun watching. Thank you for your insight into culture a missing piece when we Gentiles read the Word of Truth! Shalom.

To not realize that Vashti was probably ordered to parade around noon is grossly overlooked by Michael. A bunch of drunk men is what we must assume from the text- a week of partying? Pretty obvious, and he wanted to show not only how beautiful she was but also the control he had over her. Yet Michael chastises Vashti. And yes, I'm a conservative Christian.

I’d hate to think it was because she displayed the same integrity of Vasti…if indeed they are apart.
