Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me again while I share this new around the house happenngs with you! What's going on with you these days?! For us, we got a new couch... quite dramatic. I also delt with thanksgiving leftovers, cleaning the fridge, sharing a grocery haul, sharing what's in my kids' lunch, and so much more. You know how we do it here - it's just a hodgepodge of everything because that's life!

I realize we're strangers but I'm gonna give you some unsolicited advice. Give yourself some grace about getting the house all together. You are so busy taking care of your family, I feel you are scheduling too much and you're going to wear yourself out. Eventually you'll figure out the sofa, the Christmas tree, organize your pantry and closet. The house isn't going anywhere, you'll be there for years. Want you to enjoy your hardwork and those adorable little monsters. Finally, it's so fun watching you & Alex eat brownies one spoon at a time. Brilliant idea! Talking NASA brilliant. 🙂

Well I think I wouldn't have pressure on myself to get my house together, but it is our birthday season so we have had many people over so I didn't want it to look disheveled. I wear myself out on a normal day - regardless of what I'm doing lol That's just who I am. There's always something to be done. Brownies help me get through

I will give you the same advice someone gave me and it changed my perspective… You have the rest of your life to keep a tidy home. Enjoy your children while you still have them around. This is just the season of life you’re in currently. It will change and you will miss these days. I am a mom of 4 and only 2 are left at home. I remember the days of multiple sporting events in one day, as well as working full time and caring for a home and my family. It gets crazy 😜. I get it! Just breathe and enjoy the moments and memories you’re making with your kids. That’s what will stick with you over the years, not a guest coming over and noticing that you’ve washed the dishes. My husband reminds me when I get stressed out with staying on top of all of my chores, he says, “magazine homes are for single people.” Lol 😂 You’re an amazing mother! That’s what matters. 🥰

I gave up on a “Pinterest” worthy tree many many years ago. Instead, I put ornaments on it, that have meaning. Our tradition is that each child gets a new ornament every year, one which represents an accomplishment or important event in their life for that year. This year i sent my granddaughter a personalized ornament for her first day in daycare. Since we started the tradition, I put up their ornaments or home made ornaments from them or me all over our tree. I think it’s absolutely fabulous and definitely Pinterest worthy with meaning and memories!

YES!!! There IS a two-year sleep regression! My daughter just turned two and we are in it, FULL FORCE, right now! My husband works third shift, so he never sees it, but we were at a hotel Saturday night, and he SAW it. The next day, I’m pretty sure he had a new appreciation for me! 😂 Now he knows why I want to go to bed when he gets home from work in the morning… 🤷🏻‍♀️😆

I heard a saying from a YTer a couple of years ago about buying gifts for kids... Something they want Something they need Something to wear and Something to read I use this now when buying for my 6-year-old granddaughter. Your house looked good. My husband is a first responder and goes into some pretty nasty places. Delivery drivers also see some pretty nasty places too. My husband know that our house is not always going to be spotless. He is happy as long as the bathrooms are clean and he has clean dishes to eat on.

Ok Kimmy, here comes the advice people!! LOL Sweet potatoes should not be in refrigerator, the centers can become hard and potato can develop an unpleasant taste, no unpeeled onions in refrigerator as can absorb moisture and spoil faster, also no refrigeration for regular potatoes. It will turn the starch into sugar and does not prolong them. You have the perfect pantry, get baskets and place on the floor under your shelves if no other room. You can buy furniture throws designed for furniture to keep things clean, you can wash those. Remove when company coming over! Try putting felt furniture pads on the bottom of your snack bar chairs. You are doing a good job and love your videos.

Maple dijon and a little rosemary. Rub between your hands if its dried. It wakes up the spice. Or thyme. Its very yummy. Spray your pan to make clean up easier. I serve with rice and a little sauce over the rice and asparagus. Thats my meal.

I was always told to never put potatoes in the fridge.. (my granny was Irish, born here but my great grandmother was from there) And she said to never put them in the fridge, something like they will spoil or grow mold. I can't remember. I keep a burlap sack in my pantry full of potatoes, and one apple. Apparently the apple helps them not to spoil as fast. And don't keep them with onions. I love seeing how other people store their food and such. I know, I'm weird like that 🙃.

With the couch situation- you should get a couch that has a chaise lounge on the side the stairs are on (so essentially a small sectional? Or just small l shaped couch?) and put two small accent chairs on the side the backyard doors are on, even the small couch u have there blocks the view but two accent chairs would work! Or you can get one of those u shaped couches and then it won’t come out long enough on the sides to block the backyard view or the view into the house from the front door

I feel you about the couches. Send em back. I bought a new radio for my son in law's car for Christmas. We had a 10ish mile drive from Clermont that took 45 min. The Best Buy in Posner Park did not order the cable for the back up camera. Winter Garden said we would have to come back another day and they were running late today.. After we drove to Minneola to get kids, then Clermont, then back to get the car now with restless kids. We hated how the whole thing stuck out and a cord was hanging. It looked jenky. Long story short as you say. New radio ordered, new instal date. We were so late coming home, we had to tell my son in law. No more surprise. I would have cried if I hadn't been so tired. So push the store a little, get a deal on some new couches. You can do this. Tell them you want a full refund if they can't work with you. I see what you mean about 2 couches, more options. I’m a Designer and I Just wanted to say that hiring a Decorator for just a couple of hours would be so worth it for you, and would take away sooo much of your stress as far as decorating. Let her do it and make suggestions for you. She would have chosen just the right furnishings for you and would have saved you the trouble of having to return your sectional. Honestly….it’s sooo worth your time and money. Hang in there.

Try felt pads on the chair legs (lowes or Home Depot or others stores have them in light colors). Feet will no longer scratch or scuff the beautiful floors you have and if they still wobble, they won’t be noisy. I really love your vlogs.

Large family love put in a zip line between trees but its not very high, just enough height on one side to make it go. You are going to love that back yard! Investing in good quality yard equipment keeps giving to each child. Enjoy your time with them, my oldest boys just turned 41 and my third will be 39 in February....time flies by!

I didn’t scroll through all 623 comments to see if anyone answered your question about the stove top… when you turn the burner knob to the left side it only heats up the small ring on your cooktop. The right side heats up the large ring (and the small one). This allows you to use a bigger or smaller burner as needed. Also the temp (on mine) is LOW all the way to the bottom left or bottom right. If you turn it to the left bottom the small burner will be on low. Right bottom is large burner on low. Hope this helps…

Just a tip….. I keep fresh fruit (apples and oranges) in a nice bowl on my counter, rather than in the refrigerator. It encourages it to be eaten, and, it frees up room in the refrigerator for potatoes, onions, carrots, etc.

True about nobody coming when home is clean, only when messy. Last month I had the flu. So did my husband. Our home was an absolute disaster. And, unexpectedly, one of my sister-in-laws friends came by and walked right in the home (no knocking)….she thought my sil still lived with us. Besides me being shocked someone I didn’t know walked into my home, afterwards I was absolutely embarrassed by the mess. We looked like we never clean and hoarders all at the same time (I’m a reseller so I had a lot of boxes and toys and what not lying around bcs it was a busy sales month)

When I was first married our Christmas tree was all match match. Whe we started having children we buy them one special decoration each year. I will add a couple of new ones too each year. So now our tree has an eclectic mix of special decorations and I love it so much more than a perfect themed tree.

I love your videos!! Your house doesn't need to be perfect! I love the realness of a lil mess here and there! Clearly you live in your home!!! And I consider your house clean😂 With strawberries if you soak them in vinegar with water(about a 1:1 ratio..I dont really measure) for about 20 mins then rinse them..allow them to dry a bit before putting them in the fridge..they last a bit longer..however if those get eaten pretty fast ..it doesn't matter. Just something I learned recently that's helped me keep them fresh longer because it stops mold from growing as fast...and also allowing them to drain outside the fridge and dry. I never thought to use Castile soap to rinse the fruit though. I usually just use water with grapes.

Relax and prioritize. That garland can wait until next year! Family first, and that means tree and they won’t care how many ornaments (neither will your true friends). We won’t care about couch, we’ve been here for the whole ride this year and we love you and family, most of us have our own families and messes. Even in your slow mode you show us up…lol. Kim, I was where you are now about getting a new tree. I went online checked out the Home shopping network and QVC. I found a tree of my Dreams! A 3 piece, lights already on it, flocked 6' tree! It's so easy to put together, 15 minutes for me, and hardly any fluffing. You just put the bottom of the tree into the base, set it upright in the place you want it. And watch the branches fall into place. Some fluffing first time set up, but a snap the next. And the base is very sturdy! Hang pine-scented things and get this, decide what color of lights and how fast they twinkle. And you don't have to connect the three sections of tree lights together! It's place each section together place the light plug into the wall and use the foot button to see your lighting selections. And the best part was I got to pay it off in 5 payments and it arrived in just over a week from order day! P.S. HSN and QVC have a Clearance section, and sometimes you can find little gems at a reduced price. And still, get it on payments!

I live in Newcastle in NSW Australia and Costco is relatively new here and recently opened nearby. They are great if there are heaps in your family but there is just my husband and I and the meat packages, while they are cheap per kilo, come is such large sizes. I have a grocery order each week but like to shop for veg and fruit myself and I find Costco are also too big and do not have everything. Still they are handy for some things. The Philly Cheese is $3.75 AUD here which I thought was expensive but not by your pricing. Love that you validate the kind of mum I was to my three, never seeming to catch up on everything and visitors never come when the house is tidy, clean out a room and they arrive whilst you are in the midst of the biggest mess. Hey from Scotland how u doin Kim. I seen some comments about how to do this that or the other but all I can say is you do you your kids won't always be small u want always be running in a million directions you won't always have a ton of laundry or lots or meals to cook or lunches to pack and when that happens u will give anything to ba back to that busy time when the kids had u tearing ur hair out and u never get a minute to do anything I only just turned 40 in September my daughter is 22 I was only blessed with 1 kid but she is blessing us with a little gran daughter and I can't wait she's due end of March but I have days when there's nothing to be done well there's always things to be done but no after school stuff no pack lunches no tantrums I am also disabled I was born with hip dysplasia and scoliosis and most recently been diagnosed with mild spina bifda also possibly have fibro I also have pcos the reason I could never have any more kids but since having hip replacement surgery a few years ago in my 30s it's went down hill everything is worse some days I can't even get out the house and just now we are having such cold rainy snowy weather it makes It worse but my point back when my daughter was growing up yeah I wa sin pain still walked with aids still struggled but it was less and it kept me goin . So just always remember you do you do what's right for ur family xx

Kimberly, look up the hand book for the model of you cook top and your oven. It will make your cooking so much easier! Also, your washer and dryer. I have done that and it makes a world of difference!! Breathe, everything will fall into place! Rome was not built in a day!
