Holla if you hear me, quick update. I see a lot of people are still discovering this video, and I wanted to let all of you know that Dan and Marc are back with a new pod called Heed the Call, it can be found anywhere you listen to podcasts. It’s great and it’s essentially around the NFL that you know and love so give it a listen. Thanks for your continued support and I hope to be back making more videos soon 👊🐆❄️

I was listening from the beginning when they were called ‘The debate club’ and on the end of the Dameshek podcast. This is just a silly decision by the NFL. As an Australian this was my way to follow along and coupled with my Gamepass..

I’m from the UK and I literally got into the NFL through this podcast, before I even knew what a down was, I enjoyed the rapport the hosts all had, and the podcast turned me into a huge NFL fan, and I know it’s going to effect a lot of UK NFL fans

I can't believe they cancelled the Around the NFL podcast 😢 That was the only football podcast I listened to. The guys had great chemistry, i would laugh my ass off listening to them banter. Truely devastated the this show is gone. Heartbreaking.

U.K. listener have listened to it from the beginning as do my friends this is disgraceful and you will not be able to replace the spontaneous chat between the heroes insane decision

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve listened since the beginning. Over 11 years then it’s ripped away by some SLF. I’m totally gutted & still getting used to the fact I won’t hear new episodes. When Dan & Myarc start their new thing I’ll be there 100% to support them. Gregg has been left in a dreadfully hard position. Good vid. Thanks for posting

Australian here. I got into the NFL in 2012 when a work colleague suggested I choose a team and watch it for a season. I chose the Ravens and started listening to the Dave Dameshek podcast. Mark and Dan had a 10 minute Debate Club bit at the end. It was a fantastic intro into NFL, and weirdly the Ravens won the Super Bowl that season. That morphed into ATN and Chris and Gregg coming on board. So as a 12 year listener it's hard to believe it is over. Will miss it terribly. Thanks to all involved. Feels like I’ve lost a comfortable safe place and some friends.

Ah man. The shadowy league figures messed up. Room filled with heroes. Dan freaking crushed as a host.

I had been listening to that podcast since 2015. I am a Carolina Panthers fan. A small market team that is very good won't get much attention on network television. You could always count on these guys to go over every single game played.

This was a completely stupid move. There wasn't a show that helped the international movement the NFL SO badly wants. Greatest podcast ever

Australian here, I had been a semi-regular listener for a number of years. I used the podcast as a way to kind of stay up to date with league results and upcoming matches/news. Most of the time I’m working when the matches are played so this was a great way to stay on top of things without relying on replays and guys rattling off stat sheet figures. They were a fantastic bunch of characters and it’s just baffling why you would tear them apart.

I started to listen right from the early days, I loved the DDFP too! I think the reason why Around the NFL got so popular in Europe(i'm danish BTW) was because a lot of us don't have that many to talk football with. In my family and group of friends i am by far the one who have followed the NFL the closest it began for me in the 99/00 season, so 25 years! Wow time flies! Well americans can talk ball wiith their friends and family, even the random guy on the street probably follows a team, but that's not the case for us europeans. We had the ATN podcast, so the grief and sorrow is real, we lost i guess for me half of the fandom for NFL. I hope the new Heed The Call - Podcast, can be a good replacement.

I loved listening to the flagship after Sunday’s games. I don’t really feel like I’ll be as enthusiastic about watching football this year.

Dan and Marc’s first episode of Heed the Call was good, and very interesting. Big of the guys to not hold it against Gregg, but it seems like he really screwed the guys

The fact that this podcast is canceled, literally takes half of the fun out of my nfl experience this year. I'm so annoyed , I loved these guys together

It's a shame, had a great atmosphere was like you were overhearing for another table, BUT even though I think it could've gone on a few more years, Is it best to be taken out with the fans still wanting more, then it becoming a shadow of its highs

You got the origin story wrong but I appreciate the vid. I needed this gripe. 😢

Sorry for the factual errors, I made this video quickly when I found out the news and probably should have done more research, I didn’t realize the actual origin story involving Dameshek, I’m sure they’ve mentioned it over the years and it sounds familiar but it didn’t come to me in the moment. All the same thanks for watching and I share your feelings of being upset about the show being cancelled 😞

Ever since ESPN started letting go of all of the people that we loved on their shows 10-15 years ago it has spread to all the networks and they keep replacing the people we know and love with nobodies that we have never heard of. Its a large part of the reason sports fans have started caring more about watching streamers and one of the reasons I havent watched ESPN/Fox Sports/NFL Network in a long time. I still remember when they fired everyone and said "This is Field Yates, listen to him now" and I was just sitting there wondering who the fuck is this clown. And his first show was so bad he cudnt even get out an actual sentence at times

Thanks for posting. UK based fan here. I was about to have my first listen of the year and saw this... you saved me a bunch of frustrated searching. It's a shame but it's a business at the end of the day. That doesn't mean it's good business to can 'around' and re-brand it as NFL Daily but let's face it the NFL has a successful product largely in spite of itself. My guess is it's a woke DEI thing and just part of that dysfunctional pernicious mindset that is destroying much of U.S. culture. We're even worse here in the UK of course. In fact I'll await a knock at the door from the police for saying such.

Dan Hanzus and Marc Sessler did not try very hard to hide the NFLs' warts. The shows' appeal wasn't geared for those folks that wanted instant gratification for scores and highlights, and the line in Las Vegas. It was about football, but much, much more. There are lots of folks that, like you, will be hard-pressed to find a replacement for the shows' entertainment value, and intelligence. It must really suck for Greg Rosenthal. The suits probably kept him-on because he did lots of other work for them, but I'd bet he'd like to kick them where it hurts. These guys were all pretty tight.

BTW Greg was the most left woke cohost. He was rarely prepared for the show. He let his disdain for the USA and American culture leak out. It's fine for him to have those view but telling he was the one retained.

NFL Media really blew it with this decision! Great group of guys who knew their stuff and made football interesting and entertaining. Looked forward to the podcasts especially during the season. The dynamic between Dan, Marc, and Gregg was great, like a group of knowledgeable friends getting together to talk serious football. What a bunch of idiots in charge to cancel this great program. Just plain stupid! Where to go for anything approaching this level of quality and completeness in terms of the whole NFL picture - I have no idea…
