Hey GoSutto, couple questions, in your opinion how windy is still safe to ride? Second question - I noticed you have your GoPro on the side of your helmet, others carry it in the lower front of the helmet which seems to offer a better vintage point, what is your advice? The windiest day I ever rode in was earlier in this trip on the way from Albuquerque to Flagstaff. I don't know how hard the wind was blowing but it was HARD and it was SCARY. There wasn't anywhere to stop out there so I had to just push through. As to the camera, I used a Drift HD Ghost for this trip mainly because the lens is on the end instead of the front like it is on the GoPro. This gives it a much more aerodynamic profile. My GoPro was uncomfortable to wear for long stretches on the highway due to the wind resistance pulling my helmet to the side. As to the placement, this is the only place I really even considered mounting it. Seeing part of the helmet doesn't bother me. To me it helps in giving the viewer perspective as to what they're viewing. I know lots of people have other opinions but that's mine. If I was using a GoPro for long distance riding I'd probably try to mount it on the front of the helmet to avoid the pulling issue. Hope that answers your questions. Thanks for watching!

What kind of luggage/trunk do you have? I love the rack on the top and was looking for something similar.

+john smith The top case is a Givi Monokey 46 liter case that I bolted the rack from another Givi case onto. I just drilled holes and bolted it on. I talk more about the luggage setup about 8 minutes into this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKqlmGumr7qDock

Why do you have to use premium gas? Motor require it?

David Yawn No they do not, he would have been just fine with regular, at least my DL650 is.
