I went thru South Dakota a couple years ago and the main thing I wanted to see was Mt Rushmore. Then I noticed Badlands was nearby. I wasn't really sure what it was but figured I'd stop and check it out. That was by far the best part of my trip. I've never seen anything like it. Your video was great and brought back some great memories but video just can't portray how unique, beautiful, and just plain awesome Badlands is. I camped at the campgrounds that was 12 or 13 miles out that gravel road. Woke up one morning and there was a humongous bison about 20 feet from my tent, just moseying around eating grass. It was a pretty cool experience.

I would have loved to camp there if they hadn't been under a campfire ban at the time. It really is an amazing place. Thanks for watching!

What brand of tire do you run? I've never gotten 10k miles on one.
@GoSutto8 жыл бұрын
+Pierre Eversole I did this trip on one set of Michelin Anakee 3 tires. 14k miles when I replaced them. The rear was pretty shot but the front could have easily done a few thousand more miles. Awesome tires!

Here's what I shot during my visit to the Badlands in 2013. In my van, all alone and enjoyed every quiet moment I spent there. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYTcqHiGrbFpa9k

Thanks. 2 days after I was there they got buried by 2 feet of snow. I got lucky and left before that happened. While there I picked up my "senior' national park pass for only $10.00. Good for life and gets me into any national park for free minus parking fees. One day pass alone is ten bucks so I couldn't go wrong. If you're 62 or over it is a great investment.
