You're right... The Badlands is a special place. When we were there several years ago, I watched a late night thunderstorm roll across the area from the comfort of my tent. I'll never forget those moments watching the sky flicker and flash over the park. It was truly one of the most magical and spectacular things I've ever seen in my life. Unfathomable beauty and tremendous power, and yet, I felt totally at peace and relaxed, connected with nature.

Love this series, and this one in particular. We stayed in the Badlands and extended our stay in the Nomad View dispersed campground (wish I could share a photo) during our “Big Trip” of 2021, Portland, OR to Maine and back. Badlands was one of our favorites, along with the Apostle Islands and the town of Bayfield WI, Jackson WY and the first off grid on the Flaming Gorge Lake in UT. Makes me want to go adventure again! Beautiful series!! Ps thanks for the hookup on the Tundra dash mount, love that bit of kit!!

That was awesome. That part of the country is just so special. On my last big trip, I had planned on driving through SD in two days on my way to Wyoming, and ended up staying a month! There's just so much incredible history and scenery. Also, your cloud timelapses were 🔥🔥🔥

Beautiful landscape. It all looks so fragile, like the rain would wash it away. Since there are ancient fossils out there, rain obviously has little impact. Still, you captured what looks like a very fragile place. Thank you for sharing.

Thankfully this was all filmed before the permitting thing came back into effect. To be honest, we are still wrapping our minds around how deeply this will effect us. But as of right now, if nothing changes, we will likely not be able to continue making these kinds of series. Which is too sad for me to fully wrap my mind around right now. The logistics for our little two person team just can withstand it.
