I was at a local greenhouse on Friday, and there was a begonia escargot. When I picked myself up off the floor, I bought it!! Now I have four varieties on my windowsill. I'm sure hoping for the best!! Yours are lovely!!

how do you keep your begonias so green. try so many begonias from species to hybrid but they will just dry up or drop their leaf. i try to rescue those that still have roots in a mini green house, hopefully they will spring out some leaf. any tips or notes. i live in Singapore but my area is pretty dry humidity is around 40 to 50. temp is around 27c on good day 33c on hot day.

Ah hello there in Singapore. I spent three months working in Singapore in 1994. What a shame I wasn't interested in plants at all then :) I don't know why your begonias are drying up. I water mine very infrequently - once every two weeks. But it would be quite humid here!

Gardening at Douentza I see actually now I start to see new growth when I put them is terrarium & in the mini greenhouse. I think in my area where I stay now is quite dry we have dry air in my area. I add some moss on my begonia pots they seen to do better now. I have those that you grow but now it is saddy to see. They are leafless now.
