Great video. As someone also mentioned there is a similar suspended 13km monorail in Wuppertal in Germany. I was built in 1901 but is still used. The difference is that the track is mostly built over the middle of the river held up by stanchions on each bank. This sort of system is perfect for the densely populated cities in Japan but in some ways it worries me: Japan = Earthquakes = Trains drop off track or track falls down!

What is the difference between a rail under the train or metro and above? Whit difference I mean the construction and cost to make it. Also how do they fix or do the maintenance on this tracks?
@A7XFan8007 жыл бұрын
I don't know about the cost. But it seems to take less place for support than rail under the train types.
@hitorikun21917 жыл бұрын
I don't want to compute all the budget but by just imagining how many tons of steels and concretes we use just to build a conventional railway from huge foundations to the wide (sky)railway kilometers long, compared to this kind of (suspended) monorails. It's just amazing, really, you can see that this is more efficient and costs less significantly.
@ayoutubechannelname7 жыл бұрын

Why tho? Wouldn't it be 5x easier to just build a train on a viaduct. You would literally only use half the materials and it would be compatible with the existing train network. I guess it looks kinda cool, but it's getting old now and it's not like they are going to extend it.

Is this ballpark for a professional Japanese team or a collegiate league? The multicolored seating patterns and exterior slanted load bearing columns make the stadium look like it was built around the same time as those God awful cookie-cutter stadiums we Americans endured back in the 60's and 70's...🤣🇵🇷🇺🇸🗽🦂🇯🇵😎
