I've had both these units for quite some time now, but both needed repairs.
I got the ARP back around 1997 (for only $100 at the time!). It generally worked fine for many years, but was missing the bass voices and the XLR output didn't work. As time went on, it developed some sustaining note issues etc. The Lexicon was given to me in non-working condition around 2004. I brought it to a few people over the years to try and get it working but never with any luck. For the past few years, I have a had a great tech working on some synths and studio gear for me (check him out! - www.shooksound.ca) and he was able to bring the Prime Time to life! The Omni-2 had a complete make over. New key bushings, total re-cap, all new sliders and now works and sounds fantastic. I just got both of these back today and what better way to celebrate their new found life than to plug them in together for some sweet sounds. AND SWEET THEY ARE!

What, perhaps, intended to be a mere gear demonstration turns out to be a tune of outstanding creativity in the electronic music genre. I have listened to it about a dozen of times now, until I finally recorded it to make a .FLAC copy of it, which I play then and now on my HiFi gear and on my Smartphone alike. For this is one of the best and most creative tunes in the latter genre I heard, along with some others by other composers such as Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis Papathanassiou. etc. And as I listen to the latter composers since the age of thirteen, I may precise that I am 64 today. I feel honored to be able to express my congratulations personally to a so talented musician.

Yeah great performance. By far some of the favorite performances of mine come from not even recording and not even from any of my room full of hardware gear. They come from just testing out sounds from plugins. Then realize after I play it, it might be something worth keeping. Then i use the most powerful daw feature that is also the bane of my existence, retrospective recording. So many inspiring performances that would have dissapeared into the ether. Imagine for a second if this guy just played this and didnt record it. The danger is that once you've gotten a hit from that drug, you are no longer free to just play anything without thinking about it being recorded. Sure you could juts not play attached to a daw or recording, but then you will think about potentially an amazing song youd hate to lose. It really becomes a mental exercise to try and not think about it. Oh and your right this is a fantastic performance and i just listened to Oxygene 1 and 2 for the first time a few minutes ago.

That Prime Time delay really makes the ARP sound good. That is saying a LOT, because I was never a fan of the Omni I or II.

This is a very exciting video to me. I have a Behringer Solina on the way, the real one being the older sibling to the Omni. I very much want to try the Solina to get these kind of lush soundscapes and not just from its own fast warbling modulation effect. I found this video looking for just that. What would a Solina sound like without its almost leslie like fast ensemble effect, but instead with slow chorusing textures. This sounds like almost exactly that, other than the Omni part. I read the Omni has also a layerable simple synth part too. Im curious if that is used here, but also what the real sound differences between the Omni and the Solina are, and also if you, as a new working Prime Time owner, have tried to Sound Toys Primal Tap. I havent yet but its supposed to be inspired by the Prime Time. (the gui sure looks like it)

I am also using the synth section of the OMNI2 in parts of this video as well, yes. It's nice to blend the 2 sections together! I haven't used a real Solina before so I can't compare the 2 from my experience. In terms of the Soundtoys plugin, the Primal Tap is for sure inspired by the Prime Time. Like in most cases though, software emulations can fall very short of the real thing. In my opinion anyways. There's some real magic in these old boxes that just isn't quite the same with software a lot of the time.

Lexicon 300 is a great reverb! I have a couple of Lexicon NUVERB cards that I use often. My understanding is that they are the same as the 300, and they sound fantastic!
