And here I just purchased this ARP-87 pedal based on thinking the ship reminded me of the NOSTROMO from ALIEN. Talk about them knowing their audience. . . or me being a sucker. Glad to see you have a demo and thanks for pointing out the hidden 5th function tremolo function!

:D Yes, a black pedal with a picture of a spaceship - instantly tempting - especially after the aesthetic horrors of the Canyon delay. The problem will come if they do a "midnight edition" of the Canyon.

The lo-fi on the arp-87 is one of my favorite delay sounds. I really with they would do a stereo version with midi. I use a disaster area micro-clock to sync it to midi, but wish I could just plug a midi cable into it.

Agreed, the lo-fi has a great sound. I was using the DB-01 analog clock out for a while and it seemed OK, but then started causing unstoppable feedback! MIDI to TRS was a fail unfortunately.

@@RichardDeHove Yeah. It is just looking for a tap tempo signal. You need something like the micro-clock to send a tap to it, works great with that.

As a follow-up on your hunt for interesting delays. I picked up a Joyo D Seed 2 on Amazon. Very inexpensive, but has a ton of potential. 9 program types, 2000ms delay time. Ping Pong mode. True stereo. Not glitchy, but you can make a pretty impressive noise wall with self oscillating ping pong stereo. Cheers.

I did have one for a while, and yes they're certainly excellent value. As I recall it had one distinctive quirk: whenever you went into ping-pong mode it completely eliminated the sound from the middle. At the time I found that a bit disconcerting but now I think that could be a real feature if you had a complimentary extra sound to occupy the middle.

@@RichardDeHove Noticed that as well. I use it as a send FX through my mixer so it hasn't been an issue. Using it to cascade heavy reverb pads has been interesting. Going to use that trick on my new album. Cheers.

I think that the Arp87 need a little touch of Richard's painting talent...
