It’d be cool if the game actually used dynamic synth settings and sounds depending game location. Hehe. I’ve got an idea for what you might bring as an Indie Dev to set yourself apart, which is what you need to make it these days. Everyone’s got a Podcast, and a GameMaker Zelda-Like.

Split the signal! One path goes to Rob's normal setup, you get that good "normal" guitar tone. The second path runs though Andrew's rig, and you get that good "synthesized" guitar tone. Then you have it mixed and produce a wicked track!

I know that Klayton (Celldweller/Circle of Dust/Scandroid) and Nine Inch Nails use their modular synth setups to also manipulate their guitars (and other instruments), and they tend to blend that with more standard guitar effects as well. I'm sure many others do in the electro/industrial scene, but beyond that, a video like this is really great for presenting the potential for new ideas, sound design, and just how wide the palette of modern music can be. Good stuff, guys!

Imagine him playing Rain with the modular synth. Those are some sick riffs! I'd definitely listen to an album with modular synth djent

This feels like the best of both worlds. You still get a lot of the flexibility of the synth offers with the ability to play and improvise like you would with a traditional instrument. Amazing stuff.

You two should make this an annual thing like First of October, not in the making an album sense, but once a year just set aside a day where you two just get together and get crazy on the synth because you have so much fun and I think fans of both of your channels enjoy the videos immensely. Maybe First of April

Long live WMD. I helped make WMD a thing from the inside running production equipment. Metron to Mixer. It was such an amazing place that shaped my world, and brought me to people I never would've dreamed of. There were hard days, great days, but the people behind making those were treasure and pure gold. This comes from "Employee 1" 2008-2022. Miss you all so much. Onward to new things in life.

Too cool, I think it would be really interesting if you recorded the raw guitar signal as well, and any signal generating modules from the synth, so every now and then you could’ve cut to the raw signal to to show what is going in, compared to the music that’s coming out

if you drop a whole drum loop into a convolution reverb plugin and just play a palm muted 16th note chord you can get some neat gating and reverb effects

I may just be an Electrical Engineering nerd but what would be the type of signal output if some of these were plugged into an oscilloscope?? That would be really cool to see the crazy kind of "art" that would be drawn
