This really was the perfect song for Yagami. The lyrics at the beginning of the song makes it sound like the singer is going through depression, not able to feel happiness, not understanding why others feel happy, and apologizing for putting on fake smiles. But as the song goes on, the lyrics slowly start to become more happy and hopeful like the singer is realizing that there is meaning to living their own life. Yagami at the beging of Judgment was a lot more cynical. He blamed himself for Emi's murder because he got the innocent verdict for Okubo in the first trial. He considered letting a murderer walk free his greatest failure and would not let himself live it down or move on, even giving up his job as a lawyer, something he worked really hard to achieve because he didn't believe he deserved to be one anymore. But by the end of the game, after solving The Mole case, finding out what really happened and getting closure, he was able to live his life without that weight. He was able to be happy with his life as a detective when it was previously just a way to pay bills. He looked so enthusiastic and happy taking the case to find that old lady's cat. He has friends that have always cared for an supported him and he realized that. Being a detective isn't just something to pay the bills anymore and is now something he loves doing.

I finished Judgement and, my God, I knew I would love the game and the story bu HOLY CRAP! THe mystery was intriguing, the combat amazing and the characters, mainly our main four bois, I love them all. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios made a amazing job and I'm really excited to the day I play Lost Judgment, and if a third game comes out, I will definitely play it. With this said, I loved Arpeggio and this English version is equally amazing. You sang this very well and couldn't help but to sing along, as well haha Amazing work ^^ Also, I love the lil draws of the bois. I just beat Judgement recently (after playing the entire mainline Yakuza series) and I don't know what it was but Judgement suddenly became one of my favorites. Arpeggio was one of the selling points for me, and this cover is amazing. It makes me happy that Judgement is still getting the love it rightly deserves. Astounding cover.

(Judgment Spoilers) This feels like it could be Suguira's theme as much as Yagami's. The first verse is him retreating inward after Emi's death and his anger towards the world that only pities him and the second being a conversation between him and Emi's spirit trying to convince him to live for himself and not her. (If I feel like it and have the time I might add more elaboration to lines that stuck out to me)

It's nothing crazy professional, but it was pretty affordable and good mixing/mastering can make a huge difference in quality. :)
