Orera ga ikita akashi Hikaru asu ni I also had no idea and couldn't find official lyrics, so I Googled the title and "sorosoro ka" in Japanese and found some Yahoo.jp speculation on it that sounded right: detail.chiebukuro.yahoo.co.jp/qa/question_detail/q1488835594 I thought it could also be "ikita hanashi" like "the story of our lives," but until the artists say something about it perhaps we'll never really know. 😂

I found that weird too, in the first game Muppet is the only song in the karaoke minigame and the final boss theme but the lyrics just contain references to Takiya Genji from Crows Zero who Tatsuya’s design is based off of and nothing has to do with Shinjo, I guess they did this because both games end with Tatsuya overcoming the odds and that’s why they play a theme for him instead of the final boss he fights, it’s that or they couldn’t make better music than Rize and Shonan no Kaze lol

Holy shit this is amazing I am just starting my yakuza journey, rn i only beaten Y0 and... Kurohyou 1. I love these PSP games, and Tatsuya's ark resonated with me so well. Currently playing Kiwami 1 on my streams and KRH2 by myself and... i dunno, the story isn't that interesting compared to the first one. And the first game's music is way better imo. That includes krh1 theme, Muppet by RIZE, it just perfectly incapsulates everything the game is. I would love to hear the english cover of that. Maybe i'll try to do it myself.

I used “Let’s dance now” because it rhymes with the original lyrics (龍が舞う) and carries more of the confrontational tone of the main chorus, but sacrificed some of the literal meaning. The implication is that Tatsuya is the dragon and whoever he fights is his dance partner! 🐉 But that is just my personal interpretation. I look forward to seeing your version and cover! 😉

@@secondarchive got SUPER glossed over, but I 100% agree that lyric translation is an art of itself- japanese is a very ambiguous language that can [when used creatively] stuff a lot of double meaning in a single word choice based on actual word meaning as opposed to just word connotation or relying on just homonyms, never mind actually trying to get into the lyricists headspace to figure out what they're trying to convey in metaphors and maintaining that vibe, while still trying to maintain rhyming, flow, and everything else that makes music, music. That is to say, fantastic job with this. Nitpicks aside, it's unreal how much of the inherit emotion of the song manages to carry over with all of the aforementioned hurdles, all while still being a fantastic performance. I hope this somehow makes it to Shonan No Kaze.

I wish! I’ve tried it a couple of times but the lyrics are really hard to translate in a way that’s accurate (there’s a lot of puns!) but still catchy. I’ll keep at it, but it probably won’t get done anywhere in the near future. 😅 I’m always on the lookout to hear other people’s versions though!

@@secondarchive It's understandable as reading the lyrics it does have a lot puns and play on words with the different eras of japan and the even the series as a whole. So it would tricky to translate that into English which non Japanese speakers won't entirely get
