The worst thing about playing an instrument is coming to the understanding that things look so much easier to the untrained eye. You'll spend a week learning a song, and when you go to show it off everyone looks on like "cool, but I mean I could do that too". This is god level, jaw dropping shit to anyone who plays, to all the non musical onlookers it's just "cool"

I sort of agree with most people here, you have to play guitar even a little bit to understand why you should be amazed by it. The clarity, tone and skills are all there and he plays very well. But most people even people who play forget one thing when it comes to playing any musical instrument. You must be capable of creating something completely original. This guy's solo seems to be original and is why I think he may one day make it, its the originality and creativity that make people famous. I haven't even seen a comment of anyone even noticing that his picking style has wore a hole into the bare wood where his pinky rests. That hole gives you an idea of just how much work he put into playing. How wore a damn hole through lacquer, a veneer cap and bare wood. Again great playing and execution especially in front of people.
@christianstewart9987
@christianstewart9987 4 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. His soloing was not only incredibly fast and technical, but also had a unique sound; I have never heard anything like this. @@facundofalconi3127 Yeah I am referring to the improvisation of how he is using a melodic solo he created over the top of the base song. I didn't know who the base song was by but I didn't think it was him and just did what I also like to do and play over songs I like or know to exercise on the spot improv. So pretty much the originality of the solo itself. I'll have to check the original backing song out, thanks for letting me know who it was.

@@Tony-om1vg Just practice scales, modes and arpeggios to a metronome and keep increasing the speed. Then just keep jamming to backing tracks once you have the basics down. joder... esta obra de arte la abre visto como unas 40 veces... y cada vez que la pongo se me vuelven a poner los pelos de punta como si fuera la primera vez que la aya escuchado... por desgracia si DAMIAN SALAZAR en vez de tener un nombre ESPAÑOL y ser ARGENTINO fuera de los estados unidos, ya sería un guitarrista reconocido a nivel mundial, y seria un hombre que tranquilamente viviría bien y que se podría ganar la vida tocando con su guitarra électrica y llenando teatros enteros.. en fin para mi este tipo tan solamente mirando este vídeo y viendo la gran destreza que tiene sin equivocarse ni una so maldita vez en una de las notas.... en fin en los años 80 este hombre hubiera sido una leyenda absoluta.... hubiera sido sin duda el mejor guitarrista del mundo... pero ustedes de verdad han visto como toca este hombre? hace fácil lo difícil, parece que la guitarra sea el... este hombre debe de sentir la música como el resto de todos los mortales que lo estamos viendo no nos podemos ni imaginar, xDxD en fin si dios algún día decidiera bajar del cosmos y empezara a tocar una guitarra electrica y nos mostrara a todos lo que es tener nivel de verdad, y que por hay decidiera el señor DAMIAN retarle a un duelo... desde luego que el señor DAMIAN, lo meteria al divino en serios y graves problemas... xDxD en fin saludos de un español que alucina siempre cuando mira esta so jodida obra de arte. te pido por favor que nos vuelvas a hacer otra vez esta cover habiendo ya pasado 8 años desde que hiciste esta. QUEREMOS VER TODOS UNA REPETICIÓN EXACTA DE ESTA OBRA DE ARTE, PERO 8 AÑOS DESPUÉS DDD

Imagine if he was around back in the day when yingwie malmsteen and all of the sweeping legends in the 80s were popular. He would of most likely surpassed Yingwie and Michael Angelo Batio with flying colors it's just terrible how people don't have any respect for true talent anymore. Seems like if it's not made by a computer, no one has interests into it he actually is putting emotion and skill into this but only very people seem to be interested for as amazing as he is.
