Greetings from Indonesia.I bought one after viewed your video. Fortunately, the window size of the new version is wider (180 cm and 160 cm at the top). This offers a more flexibility

Just want to check to be 100% sure - the bigger opening is visible on Decathlon latest images, but going from 140cm to 180cm at the bottom is quite a jump - did they really add 20cm on each side of the opening? How about the opening height? Seems taller too. Thanks!

@@nimblecamper total height = 170 cm. Opening height 150 cm. Base height = 20 cm

@@yohanesmardjoko thanks for the quick response. Are you sure you have exactly the Arpenaz Base M model? Because I triplechecked the images on Decathlon and I don't see where the height of the opening could gain +30cm. They reduced the fabric on the sides of the opening, but the height seems about the same upon verification. I don't see where the +30cm would come from comparing the old and new odel height. The tento verall height remained the same - 215cm, which confirms my thinking: contents.mediadecathlon.com/p2296341/k$18506d7b15f1ff4104ee73c9693d7f8f/sq/6-man-camping-living-area-arpenaz-base-m.jpg?f=3000x3000 So I want to make sure I don't post incorrect measures here, or for the incorrect model.

Really helpful video, thanks! I have a Ford S-Max and this may be perfect for it. Hello to Max 😊
@LukasCech4 ай бұрын
glad it's helpful! Yes, the S-Max is very similar to my Sharan, so it should fit in the same way easily. Max says hello back! Woof!

Hello, I was wondering if you had some insight into whether a Caddy Maxi could fit with this tent (new version) used as a tail tent as well. I know in your caption you say that a Caddy works but I'm a bit concerned since the tailgate of the Caddy reaches 217cm when opened (for reference: the Sharan's tailgate reaches 205cm). Do you think it will still fit with the ,,wiggle room'' that you get when the tent lifts in the bottom like at 2:46? Thank you for the great video!

Thanks! Yeah, all those overpriced car tents and this one, not even meant to be that, works the best at the lowest price :D

Does it work with a berlingo with barn doors? Great video! Thanks
@nimblecamper Жыл бұрын
Hi Roy, I haven't tested it on barn doors and it's harder to find any pics like that online, but have found some - nimblecamper.com/arpenaz-base-m-car-camping-review/#How_does_the_Arpenaz_Base_M_tent_work_with_barn_doors and here's feedback from one user: "I have one with a Caddy maxi and have taken the zip out so it fits better. It will go but it's tight to close the doors. I've seen some not reverse into it as far and of course, it's probably better on lowered suspension." - Caddy Maxi is taller than a Berlingo, so this shouldn't be such an issue with a Berlingo. Perhaps, reversing fully inside is doable, but closing the barn doors will probably require lifting the tent sheet hanging over the doors first. But once open, it should be fine. Or you could pull the tarp over the barn doors and leave the car further away from the tent, so that the tarp + open barn doors will create a corridor between the car and the tent. And of course, you can always use the 2nd or 3rd way if you won't like how it fits the barn doors.

Damn nice idea..i think if you turn on the car you get free heating for the whole family as well
@nimblecamper Жыл бұрын
...for a short moment, then the family would start getting smaller. Seriously though - this is a camping setup. No sane person would turn the car on with the tent next to the exhaust.
