Hi Jon. Pa5x is an awesome keyboard. Multi out to DAW great feature. You can also send tempo information from your DAW to the PA5x. This way the tracks on the DAW are on a grid which makes editing a breeze.👍

You are so right the Pa5x is a great keyboard. I haven't had any problems with syncing up the tracks to the grid. I set up hotkeys in my DAW and I make sure the time signatures are the same. And with the press of two buttons, it records everything to the grid in my DAW. Just about every video I do, I record the soundtrack this way, and it works out great. 👍🎹👍

Hello,Nice tutorial. The PA5x don’t have a USB to Audio incorporate soundcard with multi outputs?
@jonmicheals62111 ай бұрын
Thanks, and I think you are right. I am going to look into this. I think the USB connection can only be used for data tranfer and not sound.

@@jonmicheals621 ahhh, it's really sad, for high end keyboard like that, it will be automaticaly adopte normaly, like workstation, too bad...

Boss? So you can connect your PA5X directly from you daw System? I have Ableton and Logic pro.
@jonmicheals6217 ай бұрын
At this time, there is no software to link the Pa5x to your software. But you can connect your software to the Pa5x via Midi through Midi 5pin connection or USB. Go to the Korg site and download the user manual, which will give more info on Midi and the cc# codes. For me I use the outs of the Pa5x to record 6 tracks of audio right into my DAW system.. Drums 1,2 outs, bass guitar 3,4 outs and L,R outs all other accompaniments. Take care my friend.

Great info, great thoughts. So is this your first arranger that lets you send discrete tracks to your DAW? Up to How many tracks can you do? P.S. you mic level is kinda hot, sounds distorted, not a good look.
@jonmicheals62111 ай бұрын
It's not my first arranger, I had a Pa1000, but it only had a stereo out. The Pa5x has 6 assignable outs. Yeah, it is sometimes hard to record as a one man operation, can't keep track of everything, lights, staying in frame, and audio levels. Especially when you have a good take without mistakes. I might just go back to using a shotgun in that studio. Thanks, take care.

@@jonmicheals621 so the outputs to the DAW are via USB?
@jonmicheals62111 ай бұрын
No, I use the 6 outputs... L, R, 1, 2, 3, and 4 which are audio outs via 1/4" jacks on the back of the Pa5x.

@@jonmicheals621 nice! Seems like the PA5X offers a lot of flexibility with recording

Slightly off topic I create styles by combining tracks from different style
@jonmicheals6219 күн бұрын
That will work.

@@jonmicheals621 the only problem is intros and endings. Intro1 and Ending1 is a pre recorded sequence so would have to be recorded from scratch and all tracks have to be in the same key. Have you created intros and endings from scratch?
@jonmicheals6218 күн бұрын
@JamesNoteology This was a quick video. If I was producing a song, I would or could play the intros, fills, or endings while recording in my DAW. I do it this way only to create short backing track loops. 👍🎹👍
