Just a short video showing my process arranging a fairly simple track from start to finish, from clips/loops to full track. This is another track that will be featured on my creative commons album.
Check out Luftrum for amazing soundsets. I use them often! (save 10% using the code stateazure): www.luftrum.com/
Video shot on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k with a Sigma 18-35 lens. Editing and colour grading done in Da Vinci Resolve.

Hi, I recently found your channel. I really appreciate your style of music, one of the best channels I've ever encountered! I love your deep relaxing tunes and use them regularly on my headphones while working or to relax/meditate. I do have some gear at home (for years...), but until now I was a little bit uninspired and looking what to do with it and how to use it. Your youtube video's triggered me to start (again) with making of music, now in this style. I use your vids as tutorial to see how you get to the right sound and mix, this is very inspiring! I've started with Bitwig 5 (demo), and I was happy to see how fast I was able to make something myself. The Scenes/cliplauncher in Bitwig makes it very easy to "dream away" in the music. I've no idea if any of my work will ever leave my studio, but for now I've plenty of material to play around with! Thanks for your music and keep up the good work! 👍

Morning, Happy Sunday! The track sounds great. This might be obvious but do you tend to perform any arrangement prior to bouncing (for example bouncing midi arrangement of complex clips etc?), or is the audio bounced direct from the clip launcher and you go from there? Thanks for helping us build our skills!

This a really cool approach. I love the idea of starting with a jam of loops, and then keeping the order that they were recorded intact in the final arrangement (at least I assume that's whats going on here.) That way you keep more of the structure and feeling of the jam in the final arrangement.

A really interesting glimpse into your process; thanks for sharing this! We have a lot of workflow processes in common, it seems... I notice that you sometimes unmute the percussion briefly, then mute it again. Do you find that this helps you to make decisions about the pads and other sounds without getting distracted by the groove? I wondered about that, because I often get stuck when I'm just zoning out to the music, and it can stop me from actually making good decisions.

Thanks! Yeah that's probably what I'm doing there, just trying to get a clear picture of what's going on and also if certain elements are working okay in certain places.

It's reassuring to see even the masters have difficulty with crossfading in Bitwig 😂
@stateazure
@stateazure Жыл бұрын
I've never really liked how Bitwig does it's crossfading between audio tracks. Studio One handles this a lot better. So I tend to just do the duplicate method instead!

@@stateazure Yeah it's definitely a "hold on this isn't doing it HOW I want to do it" type of implementation. I still can't really figure it out. Only other experience is Reason which is also convoluted. Haven't used S1 but I'll take your word for it! haha

@@MrMarcLaflamme Ha! I use the game music technique sometimes when I have this problem. Record the loop 3 times and just cut the middle loop out and duplicate that. It will include any reverb tail etc of the first loop
