I love your statement about why flowers make such a difference. It’s from an earlier video. I have ALWAYS made bouquets from whatever I could find and put them throughout our house. You said that it sets the tone and says that YOU CARE ENOUGH to brighten it for all who enter! You speak my language ❤️❤️

The reason why one clips on an angle is a) to make sure the stem on the live plant has a surface which will allow water to flow off it and that prevents disease and b) that the cut flower or stem in your bouquet has the most surface to take in water when it is in the container.

Further, you can cross-slice woody stems about 1/2-1" to help uptake water. We do this with our lilacs in the spring, and they last longer.

Beautiful bouquets, I love seeing other people breathing in the air and nature around them, taking in the quiet and breeze of early morning. I get a kick out of doing dishes and looking out the window and seeing our hens and squirrels eating pears that fell from our trees early and we're too small to bring in so I leave them for the animals to enjoy too. Our hens have finally reached the age to start laying eggs and I was ecstatic to go out to the coop and find eggs. There is so much satisfaction in doing things and producing things for yourself. If you don't mind me asking what is the name of the song at the end of the video?

A woman after my own heart ;). My plants speak too...especially if I inadvertently miss one while watering. I also make my bouquets like that, same as how I cook really, lol, just go with what feels right. Love the idea of 'edible' bouquets!
