Was it just hot glue that you had melted in your electric skillet, that you were dipping the stems in before inserting them into your grapevine wreath? Do you have a beginning-to-end wreath tutorial filmed and saved? That would be useful for any season! Thank you very much!

I just discovered your You Tube channel today as I was on my lunch break in Katy, Texas. I thought you lived in France - your home, your garden, your life style reminded me of a European farm family. Then I discovered you live in Washington state. For a few minutes, you took me away from work, from the political intrigue, from the everyday doldrums. I live in a city and I only have flowerbeds in my yard. You made me want to do stuff outside that I had not thought of in years. Your rustic home was inspirational for me. My son moved his family to the farm in North East Texas that he inherited from my parents. They also enjoy a more simple life too. His wife home schools my grand daughter and they have a small garden. One day, when he finds a job in that part of the country that pays as well as the one he has in North Austin, they will be able to do the real farm life. He commutes twice a month to the farm. Anyway, I loved the beautiful wreath you made. I have a garage full of wreath-making supplies and materials - I just get so drained from the intense heat here for most of the year, they have stayed in the garage. Perhaps I will make an effort to do something this fall. Thank you for reminding me of the beauty of our earth. Kathy Collier

Whenever I watch your videos and admire your home, I find myself thinking "What a beautiful old soul". And it is so refreshing to see someone else in internet land staying true to nature and creativity. And it so nice to see someone else who does not have a 100% white sterile/generic home(white walls, white furniture, white cabinets, all white linens and throws....the "modern farmhouse shabby chic"). Life is colorful and beautiful and sometimes imperfect and I feel like you have captured that to the full in your home! I just love this channel!

I just love the authenticity of your home. Nowadays, Farmhouse decor is manufactured and mass produced in China. Not to say that it is not a nice look, but your home is an authentic farmhouse. Your decor is the type of Farmhouse I love. I live on a farm - the farm I grew up on. Now that it is my own, I’ve appreciating all the work my parents put into making this the home it is now. I just love your channel!

Totally love your dialogue and it is so true. Your use of the naturals we have around us is so lovely and the wreath turned out so beautifully. I love those nature times when it gives to us even tho it spent.............. it's life was for that very reason "to give", yet it even is giving back after it is spent and done it's given purpose.............much like life of our weeks and our years........and our giving back after we are spent, is our children and their children..........how beautiful and what more can we ask! We are blessed!

I decorate my table with the same brass candle holders and white with blue flowers on my tablecloths. I smiled. We have some things alike. I love the warmth of fall and espically cold winter winds and snow. My favorite is when the first flowers and plants pop through. Right before spring. And the smells of spring. Seasons touch my heart in so many ways. Brings life. Enjoy your time right now. That was my favirite time of life. Now my children are all grown up. No more homeschooling and sounds of children. The simplicity of the beauty of nature within your home and your yard is absolutely captivating. And your creativity with just the grapevines and the dried flowers bring a more realistic farmhouse look to your house Anemore coziness to your home and yes more people need to look around their yards and bring in the beauty of the bounty of the summertime and then the fall when everything starts to dry and bring those things in and appreciate that season where the things that flourished in the summertime have dried and are showing their beauty and we should appreciate that beauty, thank you so much for the coziness of this video and the peacefulness that you brought to people as a They viewed it

Beautiful home and life! I love the wreath! I remember when I was a little girl, my mother would send us out a day or two before Thanksgiving to collect beautiful fall leaves, acorns and pine cones from the hill behind our house. ( In Texas the autumn colors are usually best in late November.) We would decorate the mantle with them, so pretty! I always looked forward to that tradition in anticipation of the warmth and beauty of Thanksgiving day.

A beautiful video, I appreciate that you showed life as it is and not the perfect rendition of it. Honesty is so important with social media as so many people struggle with trying to attain perfection. Life is not perfect, we do the best we can, we learn from others and we move forward. In sharing that you used to be a florist, it just took away the thought of why doesn't my wreath making effort look like that. Well you learn a thing or two as a pro we all know that. Your home looks lovely, comfy, nourishing for your family, creative, well worn and well as we say in Scotland "couthie". I've only just returned to the mountains of Canada in BC to be near my first grand baby, I was here to see her born and I want to share with her all the time I now have that I couldn't do with my own kids. I am living in a very old house too and it has drafts and creaks and beautiful time worn elements. Yes the wood takes up a fair bit of my day but when the fire is lit and the room glows with light and warmth, it's all worth it. Your life has a beautiful gentleness to it, a calm energy that will nourish your children and give them those same beautiful memories as your mother did. If you have time to read them, there are two books you may enjoy. House as mirror of self, and The Emotional Home. I'm going to enjoy watching your videos, just for the gentleness of them and the beauty, I'm off to the woods today armed with my small saw and carrying bag to glean for things to do my urns outside and a large wreath too. Your wreath is lovely and what a beautiful seasonal reminder it will be as you go through winter. It will be my first winter here in this snowy mountain place and while I'm a wee bit worried, I know if I find daily ways to seek peace through creativity I'll be ok. Thank you for this beautiful reminder of how lovely daily life can be.

I’m fairly new to your channel, I’m 53 and in my 5th and FINAL home... Our homestead, problem is after years of struggles with a lot of personal issues, and renovating homes and so on I find I’m burnt out 😢 I would get caught up in all the you tubers ( try to keep up) and generally I’m pretty much doing things on my own, so I would get frustrated and overwhelmed, not only with the work but trying to find my style. I’ve always loved old/farm old ways but always felt that wasn’t good enough. I would like to THANK YOU for helping me to ground myself and realize that a home is truly what we want it to be, NO it’s not for other people, yes it can be unmatching! And real and well now I’m rambling, I’m sorry I just wanted to say a big thank you!!! Keep doing what you’re doing❤️

I love that As a young couple, with young children...you chose to purchase an old house to make into your home. I love old homes. Only once in my life have I lived in a new home, for 4 years. While it was nice and easy to keep clean, my husband said no nails in the walls. It was his intent to sell the home as a way to get the down payment needed to buy land, and he said that people don't like to have nail holes in their walls. I on the other hand think nesting makes a house into a home. And to me nesting and decorating require some nails. For the past almost thirty years of out 57 year marriage we have lived in an old home on 3 and 1/2 acres. I have lots of things displayed, at various times of the year. On the end of our old garage/barn which is dressed in old tin, and visible from our kitchen window, I have driven big long nails that hold everything from cultivator seats to an assortment of tubs and vintage tools like old three pronged pitch forks. I love it..and I love what you have done to your home, and land. May our Lord continue to bless you, as you work to bring pleasure to Him and yourselves too!

I use my evergreens, berries and pinecones to fill my big out door pots and make wreaths long straight sticks then spray light paint on them to look like snow. It’s rare if we get snow here. I bought a dehydrater the beginning of spring , using it today I have oranges, apples and cranberries in it. Tomorrow I will string them with popcorn for my mantel . And clip them around my home. Merry Christmas

growing up, i helped my mom pull grape vines and make wreaths - she would soak the vines before wrapping them - just a tip, they wrap nicely once soaked, like into hearts and stuff. Baskets are my goal - so enjoyed seeing how you view the beauty in nature, glad to not be the only one - blessings to you and your family. thx for sharing.

This is one of my favorite videos. I’ve wanted it so many times. I love the thought of bringing what nature has to offer into the home. We are still in the Dog days of August, but I’m looking forward to seeing fall come our way.

Oh the wreath!! You are talking my language. Right now, my table is decorated with 2 mason jars of different sizes filled with acorns from our tree, with a candel on top and a pumpkin I made out of mason jar lids. I have had a vision for weeks of what I want to decorate for winter. I want to clip from our pine and holly trees and add moss. We have a ton of moss growing on our ground as well. I'm even more inspired after watching this! Now I just have to find what I can put it on.

So inspiring your daily life on the farm is! I like how you both narrate the story of your life it’s like when I used to read the Dear America stories of childhood reading from the first persons voice was magical and comforting and I find that on your creative videos. The college English courses have ingrained in us to lose that first person voice to become objective but there is something about the imagery that a first person narrative has that cannot be matched with the somewhat impersonal objective writing, speaking and hearing from a first hand experience and insight, so all that to say thank you! Also the wreath came out beautiful! I love your imperfect home that is in its own way a breath taking home. It encourages me to get ready for the winter. Our summers are longer here in south Texas but when the cold fronts hit you remember all the chores you meant to get done! :) Happy Fall Y’all 🥰

I put pumpkins on our porch and put an orange and brown plaid scarf under a fall centerpiece of dried flowers on the dinning room table. Some years I have mums on the porch and in the yard.

I have really enjoyed watching you for the first time. We live in the middle of the countryside here in England, so can relate to your feelings. I just loved your wreath. I'll go out tomorrow and see if I can make one half as nice as yours. We have be Autumn cleaning too and thought we were the only ones to do that. looking forward to seeing you both again.
