jeez i’ll never forget the game where i had a genji hard focus me on hanzo and he ended off the match 2-12. over half of those deaths were me because he was so overly confident which led to him being obvious. always the best feeling when you can instill some embarrassment and hatred into them :P

Was this shown with his text chat? If so that's understandable to say that about him. At that point what I'm about to say has no grounds if he was being toxic. But sometimes the only way to learn how to do something well is to keep doing it. Now that's to a certain extent. But u also have the fact that maybe u where popping off that game. So they needed someone to focus u and genji just so happened to be the one who was assigned that task. Especially If ur a hanzo player (I'm just assuming since ur here) genji can be a good counter to hanzo and can get to the back line pretty easy if ur playing a far back hanzo, if the genji knows what he's doing so it makes since he would be the one that his team is asking to focus u. But there Is always that one guy who is just trying to be a dick and ruin someone's overwatch experience that night

im learning widow rn and i will NEVER forget the genji that was hard focusing me the whole game. it was only quick play but he was so blood thirsty. even tea bagged me when he killed me. at the end of the match i diffed him after he tried to flank with blade and i headshotted him - we won the game too

Since my every match on Hanzo versus brainless guys with on aim - kill the Hanzo. I think he need a buff: +50 armor, +50 hp, abilities to go invisible, walk through walls, self healing and fly for 5 second. Oh and hitscan for arows for sure

I've had that Lucio main archetype happen to me once while DPS duo'd with a friend as Ashe on Hollywood. Was talkin shit during the side swap "who was the other DPS? We remember the sym (my friend)" even though I was getting dove like every fight on attack and we still full capped. My friend told me to pay them no mind and I didn't. Lucio kept pushing me but got absolutely no value from the fact that they were down one or two every fight lol. We full held them. I never died on defense. Ended the match saying "who was the other support? I remember the lifeweaver." Ego checking players who try to ruin your games is all always satisfying, so this video? Chef kiss

honestly asking to learn: if someone is dominating a match (like a pharah), isn't it logical to hard focus them so we can then kill the rest?

it's more complicated than that. sure, if one dps is contributing more than the other, it makes sense to focus them, but if they get pocketed by both supports and their tank comes to save them, you gotta back up because you're not getting them no matter what. it's also just never a good idea to burn like, 3 ults on one person, which is what we're seeing in this video - that's not focusing Arrge, the carry, that's just being a dick. :)

Like Arrge and Pronounced said, it depends on what you're doing to focus the carry. There's a huge difference between making someone a priority target and then wasting all of your abilities and tools on them. You never want to waste your ult to try and get one person when a free 2 or 3K was just around the corner, or you never want to be shooting at one dude across the map when your teammates right next to you need your heals. That kind of thing. If you can afford to put your attention on one person, go ahead. But if it's costing you resources better spent elsewhere, it's not worth it and comes across as throwing. I hope that made sense.
