Turks build new Airports in almost every city. from Istanbul to Ankara to Diyarbakir, even one in the water over Giresun , very modern freeways ,Fast trains, Subway systems, New suspension Bridges like YSS. countless tunnels , new dams, irrigation systems for farm lands, parks ,second country planting billions of Trees, wind power you name it they are doing. What a lovely airport! IST is certainly one of the world's great airports. For such a large terminal, it is beautifully designed and the signage is excellent. I love that signs are in Turkish and English! Was this taken upon your return from AMS, since it is International Arrivals? Your trip from Izmir certainly would have been domestic. Again, I am amazed that Passport Control and Customs agents allowed you to video as you passed. Great job, as always, my friend! 🇺🇸❤️🇹🇷

This airport is absolutely astonishing it's huge great shops been there for the first time this summer spent a few days in Istanbul. My opinion one of the best.I was told that it's not functioning 100 percent so i can only image once it will be totally functioning how many people will be going through it daily. Istanbul is a vibrant city very interesting although very crowded with characteristic shops.

Its indeed a beautiful airport! One problem though, its soooo big it took me forever to get to the gate I needed be at for my connection flight. I almost missed my flight 😅 they have to figure out a way to make it easier for passengers that need to get to their connection flight.

Its huge....I will be there for a long layover of 12 hours and will be taking the half day Istanbul tour....do you know where is the counter to book for the tour? Was told its situated once you exit the airport entrance....

Selamlar, gerçekten de güzel bir havalimanı yapılmış.... Tebrik ederim... Gözüme takılan tek eksikliği "Gate" lerde yeterince tuvaletlerin bulunmamasıydı... Yüzlerce, hatta binlerce kişinin geçtiği yerde, içinde üç dört tane tuvaletten oluşan bir wc bence yeterli değildir. En azından 10-15 kişiye aynı anda servis verebilecek büyüklükte olmalıydı... ABD'de her 50 metre civarında var... Ayrıca, uçak indikten sonra kapıya varana kadar uzun bir taxiing oluyor (25 Dakikaya yakın sürdü). 5-10 dakika içinde olmalı....

I have a question. Hoping you can answer. Do you recall how long, elapsed time, it took from the point you disembarked from the plan to the point you exitted through the arrivals gate in the terminal? I ask because I have a self transfer where I am required to pick up luggage, and go thru passport control and checkin for a second flight... all in a 2hr 30min window.

I think around 45 minutes, don't be tempted by the video, according to the video it is 17 minutes but many scenes have been cut out such as long waiting and there is also a lot of unnecessary walking in it, it also depends on the season, in the summer months it is of course busier 👍🏻
