Getting through passport control was often a challenge however with the new airport having so many extra windows hopefully this problem will no longer be a problem. As soon as this Covid-19 virus is beaten and we can travel safely once more, I will return. Istanbul is truly my favourite holiday destination.

Unemployment is a worldwide issue but i think that with the new airport a lot of people are working and it's a start for a country. @Ümit Kartal I will never have a transit at this airport. In 2012 I was traveling from Maldives to canada and we had a transit in this airport. When we have exited the plane my husband and my son had to go to the washroom I went to sit on a bench, the secret police officers came and started to interrogate me why I was sitting here, my destination my nationality and they even checked my passports after they guided us to exit to the waiting area for our destination. This is why I made my decision that I will never fly or have a transit in this airport or Turkey because your police are racist.
