Arrival - CG Breakdown / 3ds Max - Vray - Gaea

This is my latest personal project. The main challenge on this one was to find free time in between work, personal life and daily chores 😅.
Anyways, back to my girl's arms and personal life LOL.
PS. Yes, "Arrival" as in the movie Arrival. Awesome movie, i love it.
My next project will be inspired on Dunes.

Love your work. It's awesome. Would you say the workflow in Max is fairly intuitive/user friendly? I've been using blender, but considering giving Max a shot.

I might not be the best person to answer to that since I have only use Blender very sporadically. I've been using Max for almost 10 years nonstop and its pretty intuitive to me nowadays but i had a lot of problems back in the day finding tools and all those hidden menus and features Max has to offer. Max 2024 it's a great leap forward, faster, easier to use, more tools available for artist. Pair that with all Plugins Max has at its disposal and you got yourself a 3D beast ready to tackle whatever you throw at it. I have only used blender for Compositing and Sculpting, didn't like it tbh. Compositing its nowhere near Nuke or Fusion and sculpting it's not something I enjoy anyways, so 🤷 I've read in several YT videos that a lot of people find Max easier and more intuitive than Blender. In the end guess it's just a matter of preference. Use whatever feels right to you and do your best work with the tools you have. 🙌
