2 absolute hands down fantastic sci fi films.. arrival and blade runner 2049. denis is one of the very best directors today. plus his other film sicario is one of my favorite films. arrival had me hooked within 5 minutes of that amazing and one of the most heartbreaking beginnings of a film with the backstory of louise becoming a mother and her daughter growing up... loving..hating and eventually getting sick and passing away all in 5 or ten minutes... it had me in bits and a fantastic start to the film... from then on i loved and still do every minute of that film... then blade runner 2049... one of the best sequels ive ever seen.... and blade runner is one of my favorite films of all time.. this sequel is up there beside it aswell.... and now denis is making dune... oh man i cant wait to see what he brings with dune.

I probably liked FW in the movie more than anything else I've seen him in. Ironically, since he's such a character actor, I liked him best as a straightforward character. And thus is a testament to the direction.

K E L .L O During the second world war the submarines had 2 birds with them when they were on mission to see if the oxygen was good and not toxic. If the birds died , they knew they were in trouble ( Birds will die faster than humans ) . The bird was there only to see if the oxygen in the spaceship was good or toxic

I loved the movie and the meaning but how are we supposed to help them in 3000 years? Also by giving this "gift" wouldn't the aliens consider humans abusing it?
@zNapella
@zNapella 7 жыл бұрын
I think the implication is that the aliens, like Louise, already know that in 3000 years the humans will save their race. Their language lets them perceive time in a non-linear way so they see and know that the humans will save them in 3000 years, just like they know that they must go to earth to give humans the ability to see time non-linearly to ensure that will happen, just like how they know that those soldiers were going to blow up their room (and have to therefore save Louise and Ian from the explosion. In terms of how humans would actually save them, if you were suddenly able to see your future, and therefore all technological advancements to come that you might make, you might be able to make huge technological leaps as a civilization, like say light-speed travel and advanced alien technology, in a short period of time. Consider how far we could progress if we had the ability to see all progression we could make in the future right now. But once again, I think this is all just implied.

2 ads before the video, every minute an ad, and 2 ads in the middle of the video. Have you lost your mind? How do you expect me to enjoy this? You're taking advantage of Denis Villeneuve to fill your own pockets. There's a limit and you crossed it.
