Hi both. Pleasant journey and a very nice looking site. No worries about innuendo- no need for a "thong and dance !" Thanks for another enjoyable video and for making us smile. Cheers. George and Trish.

Hebden Bridge is great, also Holmfirth and Haworth, nice to walk around. People downplay Yorkshire and Lancashire, they don't know what they are talking about. Safe travels to the 4 of you. XXXX

We liked Hebden Bridge too, can i recommend to you to try Bridgehouse Marina, Garstang, Preston.....right on banks of Lancaster Canal, obviously a marina, 10 minute walk into Garstang with its market days, i think you would both love it!

We were here last weekend. Lovely site and great walk along the canal to Hebden Bridge. For anyone new to the site, reception is closed between 1-5pm. It re-opens 5-6pm. We got a call from the warden around 5.30pm while we sat in the Fox and Goose pub in Hebden Bridge asking us to pay. Obviously we couldn’t make it back before 6pm so agreed to sort in the morning. It wasn’t a big deal but this is not clear on arrival.

One of our favourite CAMC Sites without facilities. Looks like a nice corner spot to pitch. We like the canal walk into Hebdon Bridge but its about 3 miles if my memory serves me right. Its good to see the approach road with less roadworks. The flood defences seemed to take for ever to complete along the river. :) Trev

One of my favourite sites and cheap too.There used to be a great CL near Upperthong, high up on the hill looking down onto Holmfirth, sadly now closed because most people wanted EH and the site didn't have any.
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
That's a shame. I could swap hookup for the views!

@@BobEarnshawMoHo It is indeed, it was also a short walk from the Ford Inn that did some good food. Two couples staying nearby popped into have a look, but when I said there was no electric they lost all interest, crazy really.

I do like Hebden Bridge and visit regularly because I only live 12 or so miles away. Wasn't taking too much notice which road you went on to get to the campsite, but I think that you may be on the road to Cragg Vale with the Hinchcliffe Arms up there. Used to be good food at the Hinchcliffe, but I've not been for years so unfortunately I have no idea what the food is like now. Had a good chuckle when you were talking about Upperthong.......don't forget there's also Netherthong and Thongsbridge in the area of Holmfirth🤣
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
Yes we saw the signs to Netherthong. I think the Hinchcliffe Arms is further up the hill.
