I got that same motor 2850kv in January off Amazon for $33 plus a 2 year extended repair warranty. It's an absolute beast I've done 60mph on 3s and 79mph on 4S in my slash 4x4 and JLB cheetah truggy with 24/50 gearing. It's never gotten above 160° even with my summer gearing in this Florida heat. Rated for 5s but I've run it on 6s no ceased bearings or stator. I highly recommend it for a budget build..

I built a 4s v3 big rock used hobbywing max10 sct and a 3050 hobbystar. She rips!! Just upgraded my diffs to Arrma metal gears. And hd Arrma axles! Very fun car to drive. Oh and Kraton 4s shocks worked great with some minor mods

Awesome! I have the same esc running 4s. I've had my hobbystar in the mail system for over a month smh. So I'm running the stock motor. It does great in the colder states. Usps is so bad right now. Also have had a esc in transit for over a month.

How do you feel about plastic chassis trucks, I have a slash 4x4 custom build settup like a low truck actually runs a big rock body on it, done some decent sends to a street landing so far

Plastic is definitely flexible and quite forgiving! A hard landing on a rock, hard surface, etc could crack or break it but the Arrma 3s/4s chassis is pretty tough!

I see the new kraton chassis and shock towers are different hoping to see one in your channel so I can see if it's worth getting another one 💪👍 also my 4s kraton is one of my favorite rigs man seems that my xmaxx and 4s kraton kraton break way less than anything else. Pretty insane bashing, man. I’ve got the Badlands on my old Big Rock and they’ve always been awesome. I just bought the v3 the other day and I’m kinda upgrading the same way I did with my previous one. How are you dealing with the motor mount after so much bashing and chassis slap? I don’t bash nearly as hard so I can’t speak from experience, but from what I understand, I guess that motor needs to be supported due to the gap between motor and chassis. Hot Racing sells a multi-part motor mount system that’s seen great results here on KZbin. Just curious 🤷‍♂️

The M2C motormount and support slide is what I'm using! All my 3s rigs have them! Then the M2C chassis brace bash bar stops broken chassis!😁💪💪

Yeah it does want to diff out a tad. To keep it straight I'm basically in the steering constantly!😜If I ease into the throttle on passes it helps!😎💪🤘🤘

Not in this 4s setup no. Yes the stock system will Cogg if geared too tall. I like the slightly lower kv motors it eleminates the Cogg on the bottom end.

Hey bud. Love your videos. New subscriber. I've seen many videos. I want to go 4s with my big rock. Most people are running 2050 to 2400kv. But they don't the punch of your 2650. Maybe more torque for that platform isn't the way or are they geared wrong? Anyway your build rocks!!!

I really appreciate it! Yeah the lower kv isn't necessary for this platform although you can run anything with proper gearing. Stock 3s motor is 3200kv I believe which is too much for 4s. It'll get hot too fast. 2650 or 2850 works nice on 4s on this platform.

My all time favorite is the Talion🥰💪💪I love the speed and handling!! She fly's nice too! I Havent had issues with the Kraton EXB diffs since I shimmed the open rear with one extra large shim per planetary. So 3 large, one small. Also one Outer bearing shim to mesh the ring/pinion tighter front and rear.
