Nice first bash. this thing is super quick and im going to take it out this spring bc Im in PA and its all ice now and run it on some spektrum bats. I want to run it against my losi lasernut and see how each run on speed test. My losi is really fast so well see who wins that.

Shame no one can buy tires for these things yet, they definitely look good
@camaroboy3834 жыл бұрын
Agreed, it does put a damper on things.. The front diff ratio can be swapped into the rear and run 100mm hoons all the way around.. but an offset hub would be needed to set the wheels out far enough... The other temporary option could be the offset hex and the duratrax bandito buggy wheels and tires.. they are 107mm in diameter so no need to switch out the rear diff.. just have to again add offset hexs..👍 Edit) keep in mind these are not belted so will not hold up at super high speeds.. but they will work for some drifting...

RC cars going straight is the problem of the ages. You can have straight, or fast, or sturdy…but you can only have 2. Lol👌🏾

What batteries ? Mah ? C rating ? Does the fan they put on the motor help ?
@camaroboy3834 жыл бұрын
The batteries run in the video were zeee 4500mah 50c 3s packs run in series to make 6s..👍.. I have some larger packs on the way for it but it seemed to perform decently on those packs.. The fan on the motor I'm sure will help while running the larger speed pinion, I will bring my temp gun next time to measure some temps..👍

How do I up my punch 👊🏿 on my felony??
@camaroboy3832 жыл бұрын
You can do this two ways, you can use a spektrum esc programmer plugged into the fan/programming port on the esc.. (typically around a $25.00 investment) This will also work on any of the current firma and avian smart esc's... You can also access the punch setting's via the esc on/off switch and set button.. This info Is readily available in either your owners manual, or on horizons website.. can also search KZbin for a tutorial on entering the settings functions.. You will be holding the set button as the esc is powered up, when the esc starts flashing and sounding off you release the set button.. each additional press will get you to a different setting.. i.e, brake force/ punch/ Bec / motor rotation / running mode etc... Your looking for variable 7.. here is the process... Hold set button down, power on esc, as stated when it tones off repeatedly release the set button to enter into programming mode Press the set button again, it will tone one beep, that's variable 1, you want variable 7.. so press the set button momentarily one click at a time until it sounds off 7 audible tones.. now hold the set button for 3 seconds to enter that variable for a settings change.. Now tap the set button until your desired punch setting is reached (9 settings) once you set your punch hold the set button for 3 seconds to save the setting.. Then power off the esc, and you're done.. It may be better to visualize this process being done before jumping into it... I'm sure there are plenty of how to video's on here to see it done... Hope this helps...✌️

@@camaroboy383 1 question...will upping my punch make my felony faster, or quicker take off?? I'm very new to this..Thanks
@camaroboy3832 жыл бұрын
@@andrataylor6070 punch settings will affect how much instant power is delivered to the motor.. the lower the setting the softer it will take off from a instant throttle pull... So for instance, a high punch setting will spin more tire out of the hole, as a lower setting would enable a lighter hit, increasing traction... This also applies throughout the throttle range and speed, not just from a stop... Higher punch will also allow the tires to break loose easier at speed.. a rig traveling at "speed", let's just say 40mph.. is less prone to instant wheel spin with a throttle stab at lower punch setting's.. while higher punch settings would ignite the tires at that same speed with a instant max throttle pull.. If your into drifting and hooning around, I'd suggest highest punch setting.. if your looking to start into drag racing, I'd suggest lower settings to increase out of the hole traction.. Overall, the rig should not be any slower on top speed passes.. when they are, it's such a slight difference..

I guess concrete would be easier on the tires
@camaroboy3834 жыл бұрын
Absolutely 100% smooth concrete would be ideal... asphalt eats these hoons up quick when drifting and sliding it around constantly... I must say though, it is alot of fun..👍 Thanks for stopping by to check it out..✌
