I think a lot of people complaining that’s it’s essentially not an all new unit just don’t understand the amount of time and engineering and money it takes to produce and all new rig , i how ever like that it uses parts that already exist , as parts support will be much better , that’s how you grow a company look at what traxxas has done for years a lot of there stuff is interchangeable and it’s why there parts support is excellent and why there brand has gotten as big as it has even tho I don’t consider them to be top of the line models but the parts are readily available. I dig this truck big time !!! Great job arrma !!!

i find that rear handbrake is alot better than what most people give it credit for, but using it correctly takes alot of practice and skill, tap and go just right and you can point and shoot this thing

This is going to be an epic surface FPV platform. I’m doing pan and tilt for driver and passenger and backup cam ,with runcam nanos and Arduino head tracking. Utimately,all four positions depending on how the multiple vtx interact on such a relatively small platform. On an airplane, you can get some separation mounting them at nose/tail/wingtips😎

I don’t have a problem with them using proven components, but the principle behind using parts that can span across many vehicles is to reduce manufacturing costs, but this doesn’t seem like the case in my opinion. I do agree that you could have many Arrma vehicles and have many part compatibility so you don’t need many different spares to cover each vehicle.

Objectively its a good truck. But that $750 USD price tag is questionable in the value department. If you look at the rest of the lineup, for the same price you can get an Outcast 6s exb or a Talion 6s exb that will have all the upgraded parts plus a better transmitter. The regular Notorious and Kraton are a full $150 cheaper that come with most of the same parts this truck does. That body is a big part of the expense and bodies are one of the things bashers replace regularly. As for the ESC I live in the deep south US where it stays hot year round, and all of my spektrum and BLX electronics have failed within 3 months or so of purchase. They just cant handle the heat. I have a hobbywing max 6 with custom high RPM fans and heatsinks and even the max 6 goes into overheat protection. (but hasn't actually failed) I would be upset to spend $750 and get all the same parts the Kraton V5 had stock, and then also have my ESC burn up. I like the truck but the price just really makes it a tough decision.

I don’t know that I’d call their stuff proven, the diffs have constant issues, they gave you the cheap slt3, plastic braces, 6061 soft aluminum chassis, at the outrageous price of 749.99.

The only issue I have had with an Arrma diff was on my 1st run Arrma Kraton 6s exb. The rest have all been good. I've had to shim when I start running big power, but that's it.

Looks cool Jason! Check into the M2C universal extenders. Might end up being cheaper than all new stub axles and hubs. Or just swap them over from your Kraton 👍

If it had a few exb upgrades 750$ would have been alright. The value isnt there. Arrma was known for the brand who gives you more For your money. Sure we can argue about inflation and all that. The RTR diffs are fragile. If it was a proven Driveline the exb diffs wouldn't be a thing. Arrma should be including the exb diffs on all their RTR trucks and just flat out discontinue the RTR diff because its just a inferior component. But that is just me. I only jumped on the exb line of trucks because i knew the diffs would be trouble free. I had a RTR diff on my exb at the beginning everything was just falling apart. The outdrives not wanting to come out from the hole they once went trough, the pins like to snap. The outdrives likes to wear down fast. The sun gear inside likes to snap. The crown gear had a few chips same for the sun gear.

Anyone thinking about getting these RC 4-wheel drive 40 series tires you DO NOT need to buy the expensive beadlocks from them these expensive bead locks that they say are the only wheel that will fit they absolutely will fit any 3.8 wheel I'm running two different sets one on $10 Traxxas summit Wheels the others on stock Arrma kraton Wheels and I have had no problems whatsoever at 6s they glue has stayed just fine. And fitment has been fine. So you don't need to waste 200 bucks on beadlocks if you don't want to. I been ripping on 6s and never had one issue with my glue jobs. Hope that helps at least someone.. i have these tires on a 6s summit with metal drive shafts and leading edge machine metal inner tranny dog carrier and tenshock 6s sensored motor and castle esc and never had one diff issue just shimmed correctly and never ran locked diffs in high gear. Also if you don't run expensive beadlocks they will absolutely fit on this truck with no modification

They are 3.8" wheels just like most other 1/8 wheels. BUT I WANTED the RC4WD wheels. They are also not $200. The Dickcepek wheels are about about 1/3 of the price of the Huntsman (Alloy ones). I use to have the Axial Beadlocks many years ago. But they don't seem to be widely availble anymore.

Seems like Arrma may have intended this for someone who didn’t already have something from this segment, in which case the shared parts wouldn’t be a big deal. Tempting people in new markets with a fancy body, kind of like the Felony did for people who otherwise wouldn’t be interested in on-road.

I do not understand lights on a rc car ..you're ribbing the electrical for something totally irrelevant to rc car use .. I get it might look cool but I prefer performance and even on a car or bike lights rob power off voltage
