They got the fireteam for 399$ rn so I purchased 1.. I'm also doing the hobbywing upgrade and metal servo mount.. I will also shim and oil the diffs and shim out all the slop.. I didn't even know about the set screw that removes the shock slop so thank you I definitely learned something

I seen that , $399 that's a great price , fireteam a real fun vehicle , drives real nice , Mojave EXB parts work great and are cheap

Hell of a job. I did a little work on mine getting some of the slop out but nowhere near the extent you went to. Even if it doesn't drive better it'll be more piece of mind knowing all that shit ain't just rattling around in there. I'll do some of the upgrades too as I break shit. First to go was that servo. Gonna see if they'll warranty it but I bought a better one anyway. A new motor/esc would be nice but my pockets can't take the hit.

Removing the slop will help with wear on parts , servo is junk 1st thing I pull , esc and motor are ok , run them till they die

@@ucrazy2rc460 Servo made the choice on its own. Esc and motor like you said I plan to run until they shit the bed. The rest I'll upgrade as it breaks if it needs it. If not I'll run it as is. Fun truck for fast off roading. I don't do the big jumps.

Crazy ✊🏿 I just got a fireteam and when I opens the box he was leaking from a front shock so I took him out to inspect only to find he also had rear diff bind😳🤭 sooo I’m thinking it’ll be probably a shim from factory worse case only to find out it’s the whole rear diff housing case for the gear teeth not sure what gives but I’m now using a v4 kraton black case to go with the gears It’s a spy like u said If you can not turn on your Rc’s your gonna be in trouble Because the shop isn’t open again until Monday and then I’d only hear em tell me send it in for another week of waiting for the damn rig I just knew I should have gone with the Sledge

The slop I'd like to clean up is the turnbuckle links. The ballcups are more loose than I like.

Yes they are very bad , only thing I can think of is replace the ball ends with aftermarket or another manufacturer

Max 5 is overkill on a fireteam. The stock system on punch 9 performs excellent on mine.

Called a lazy Susan , they have them at Walmart and home goods in the kitchen section , I hot glued the stand to it , works great !

I was told that the slop is for bashing, you need some space for hard hits, not saying your wrong and it's your car can make it how you like it, but the slop kind of makes sense to me for bashing...

All the slop wears out the parts faster , loose my help when bashing but I don't bash so don't need the slop , costs tooooooo much to bash for me
