I just got this truck and it is my first Arrma. Mind blown what a tank. so tough, so fast, and so drivable. seriously i don't even drive my monster slash any more and will be selling the slash. this arrma has to be in the top 1:10 scale bashers on the market and definitely in its price range. I have to say this truck needs no upgrades. 50 mph straight out the box. my slash is built to the max ($700) and is squirrely at high speed. this granite is smooth as warm butter. so easy to drive. and it flies like a bird. I love my TRX 4 bronco but that is a different rig. this blows away the new rustler 4x4 both in driveability durability speed and price.

Man, I wish I posted all the street bashing I did racing against the Kraton 6s. My Granite out maneuvered the Kraton all day. The Kraton is fast, but heavy with all the metal. The Granite is mostly plastic (is why got it) light agile. If you get this truck, adjust your suspension in the front slightly negative and the rear suspension level. Handles way way better (not for jumping) but for smashin around it won’t flip so easy and you can drift hard with stock tires after adjusting your suspension. Fun truck...going to a smaller tire was fun too. Slightly slower but still fast as hell. Performance is even better and handling is amazing!!

I really like my mega Granite 4x4 they launched last year, but now that BLX 3S is here it's definitely the one to get. It gets a much stronger slipper clutch, 32 pitch gears, and many other stronger components. I'm very interested in the new 3S BLX Typhon on the long chassis.

I had a first generation Arrma Fury short course truck and while it was a great truck that I beat the sh*t out of and it hardly broke anything one complaint I had was the vertical plate chassis that it shared with the 1st gen Granite and Raider buggy. It was an absolute nightmare to work on and just replacing the servo required I think 20 screws to be removed. Looking at this truck I'm amazed how far Arrma has come and the giant steps they have taken. Every part of the truck looks almost unnoticeable compared to the older generations and it really looks like they are listening to customers and acting on what they say. Kudos to them for constantly improving.

I personally feel for the older models the 2013's were the best bang for the buck. I have 2 Arrma rc's og 2011 Raider and Vortex. Yes! That original model servo case was a nightmare lol but i swapped those out on both my rc's to the 2013 servo cases that are much easier to work on. Pretty much turned my originals into the 2013 models. Still have them. Still love them. Always Loved the look of the older twin vertical plate chasis models. Bad ass! Imo. These new Arrma rc's look terrific. Arrma kept their foot on the throttle and haven't let up. They are simply kicking ASS!!! 👍

Nice unboxing! The big socket on the red tool is for tightening the slipper clutch. Pull the center driveshaft out, put the socket on the slipper input shaft and roll the truck to tighten or loosen the slipper. OOH Scratch that. My method above is for the Mega brushed only. Interesting the nut is gone and now there is the the allen key method for BLX slipper.

I like monster trucks for jumping and bashing. I have a Typhon and it’s really fast and controlled, but I prefer the Granite.

I'm 50% sure the "toggle" buttons are the endpoints for the throttle and such, least it is for the 1/8th ARRMA's. I had to set my throttle endpoint with them when i upgraded my ESC for my Kraton.

EC5 is compatible with IC5. I use adapters I got on Amazon to go from my XT60 to EC5. I also have converted a lot of batteries to EC5 to work with the ARRMA lineup.

Also got mine as a gift. Truely enjoy it, drove it on 2s, BUT, after 4 runs bearings started to fail, run 4 a bearing dissintegrated, run 9 another bearing siezed, run 14 replaced all bearing(10×15×4), found another two that siezed and parts worn out because of siezed bearings. Run 16 still on 2s, pinion and spur gear worn out. Bought a 3s, have not run it on 3s because of parts that i am waiting for..... a bit DISSAPOINTED in this product

Hey bro, just got my granite. But the tires have lots of wobble to them. It’s not the hubs or wheels, seems like the tires maybe were not glued right? 3 are pretty bad but one is not that noticeable. Should I disassemble and Reggie them?

Is it affecting performance at speed? A lot of my trucks have a weird wobble look to them at slower speed, but don’t effect it at high speed.

CCxRC thanks for the reply! I took the wheels off the truck and then used a ball point pen, set the hub on the top of the pin, and spun the wheel. Almost no wobble. This leads me to believe that the play is coming from the hub and bearing (lol) so it seems normal. Just gotta get used to this 3s power!

Last year i bought a slash 4x4. I was running it on 3s. But everytime i would run it, it would always flip over on its side. I was wodering if the granite 4x4 has the same problem?

I have it in 1/16 scale and my first run it did flip over a lot but I preread the manual and learned that the shocks are adjustable. When I ride on a hard surface I bring the shocks low and it wouldn't flip anymore.

Should I get the Arrma Granite 4x4 BXL or the Traxxas Rustler VXL with a 3s LiPo? By itself the Rustler is cheaper but on top of the battery and charger it would be upwards of $50 more.

Eric Tukes you might need to tighten your slipper clutch a bit more. I like mine right...but you do risk stripping the spur gear that way. I tighten it all the way and then back it off a half turn and test it. That allows it to keep doing wheelies

I don't really see that. Traxxas boxes are dark and have graphics and designs all behind the vehicles. The boxes are much more crowded and usually have little boxes that show the motor/esc combo, controller, etc. This one is clean, and the truck stands out off the box without writing and pictures on top of it.

Thats the issue with those truck get the hot racing shock bodies or anynother decebt shocks for the price thats the only weakpoint who is not a huge deal while is competitors eats your wallet out of the box for the upgrades

They both are great at making trucks. While traxxas has a better chassis on their trucks, Arrma has better mechanics and electronics. It's capitalism, by choice they intentionally make parts a little less sturdy to keep customers coming back for more parts. Arrma aims at getting customers to keep coming back for more chassis.

I said "7kg waterproof servo" which would be great for a basher - which was really referring to the fact that it comes waterproof for bashing. But as a basher...I also don't need the fastest servo. It should be adequate for me as long as it moves the tires at a decent enough speed.

Anyways most of the rtr servos are garbage.... for basher simple upgrade to SW0231MG (15kg savox) for like 40$ or something like this and you have problem solved.

The shocks are horrible they have leaked since day 1. The driveshaft sucks if you get any debris around it will melt in half by rubbing. Spur gears grind away because small dirt and grit gets into the case easily. Rocks and debris jam the upside down servo against the chassis constantly.
