Decided to go with the Granite and i am happy with that over the Big rock. I switched out the tires for some Speedtrend Vindicators..the white letter tires look awesome and i bought some orange wheel nuts from "yeah racing" which matches the orange/black bodyshell so my Granite is really set off. Looks sweet racing up the street. I am a newbie to RC so i have been driving mostly in the 75% throttle limiter range so as to get some practice driving and its fast enough for me at this point in time.

Both great rigs. Imo The best looking Granite was the twin vertical plate chassis og model. I'm still blasting my 2011 Raider and Vortex today. 👍

Added the Big Rock to my fleet last month and I love it. Its fast, stable, and takes a good beating before anything breaks. Arrmas only downfall is the radio and transmitter.... upgrades coming soon!!!

For a new guy getting into the hobby, would you suggest the big rock or granite? I currently have an ECX torment ( its POS), which I'll be giving to my teenager. I am looking for an all-around fun truck for myself and an activity to do with my sons. But to be honest, I am more partial to the big rock primarily based on its looks...

Very nice video! I had to decide and went with the Big Rock. I dont regret it! I know some have changed the hubs to fit Prolines. I do think the tires are too small and was wondering if you would change the tires, which would you go with? If I do change, I may try to put the BRCC tires on my Senton

Well I like the handling of the bigrock tires just as they are, however if you're after something else I'd go with the Proline MX28's. I've fitted them to my rustler 4x4 vxl (Video of the tire test is already up), and you can get them in 14mm hex fitting for arrmas as well. Note the link in my video is for the TRAXXAS ones, you want the Arrma ones!

Hoping you can help me was looking at getting the traxxas e revo vxl 1/16 but read they tend to have diffs tripping and stuff after a few runs how do they both hold up and diffs and stuff any problems

Jamie I've found the driveshafts a week point and the plastic diffs wear out too easily. Others haven't add the same issues on a widespread basis, but on mine those were the weekpoints, HR do uprated shafts but they're $70...a pair!

I have try wide up plus everytime i go bash in my yard seemed break alot more often granite and kraton makes sence those parts wheels on that chassis i was already builing my own kraton off br once all parts were available now makes sence why held a arms ect from typhon

The Duratrax 2.8 tires with 14mm hex with 1/2 inch off set should make the big rock even more stable

I have the Arrma Granite Blx 3s and I love it but it's really hard to race against other RCs, it's very unstable at high speeds and It flips backwards If you press the trigger all the way down from the get go.

You can change the gears in the way that the torque will be less so it will not flip backwards and also you will have a faster car. You can also lower the wheelie bar (sorry for bad english)

Just fitted 4S outcast motor and esc to my 3s granite, just awaiting a few new parts to rebuild it and it should be running again later next week, with 26T pinion on it!!!!

New sub here and new owner of the big rock crew cab. I had been running it for less than a week now and the motor seems to have locked up on me.. so when I pulled the motor I can barely spin it by hand. Any ideas on how or why this happened so soon? Thanks!

Hey there, so I have the BRCC and it's a great truck. I also have a Senton 3S BLX. I ran it for about a month and one bearings in the slipper clutch disintegrated, misaligned everything, and possibly caused a shaft bearing in the motor to give out too. My motor is hard to turn and I'm looking to replace it. Spin it, if you can, and look to see if it spins off center. If so you might have a faulty motor bearing

SOLIX73 thanks for the quick response! Yes that is exactly what it feeling like when I spin it.. the shaft on the motor is slightly off center. I’m guessing arrma should cover this faulty motor bearing then? Truck is only a week old.

My buddy's bought me a granite for Christmas and i love it but broke the shock tower ripped the side walls on the tires and bent a shock arm but it's not called bashing for nothing buy spare parts you are gonna need them if you are getting into the hobby fun as f though

If arrma was a bit wiser they would have just made the granite an adjustable wheelbase truck. Chassis insert and a driveshaft extension and it's done. Anyway, thanks fir the video.

i like the granite much better. the bigrock is a bit tippy in fast corners. also you can adjust the punch and break settings on the ESC to adapt to throttle control
