Some say to grind a lil bit of paint from inside the spring as well. This prevents the whole thing from becoming just a screw. However, it isn't always necessary. Great video! Great info!
@BarstoneRC4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m hoping it holds up this time if it doesn’t I’m not sure what I’m going to do? But thanks for the info!
@rcpd31574 жыл бұрын
@@BarstoneRC You are welcome. Hopefully, this time it will. You do "Push" yours too though...lol. I did grind my spring and after 2 bash sessions and 3 speed runs(fingers-crossed), it is still holding up. Each 1 is a little different and so are the drivers and the adjustments we make. Good luck with it. Keep making the awesome content as well.

Yeah hopefully I’m going to take it out tomorrow and give it a good run and see how it holds up if it starts loosening up again I’ll give that a try. But thanks for the info and support

These are tricky to get right. I ended up scrubbing everything in rubbing alcohol and putting a generous amount of blue threadlocker on the screw after backing the nut off a half turn from completely tight. My spring is actually busted at this point, but it honestly doesn't seem to matter. Hopefully your rebuild will yield lasting good results! 👍

I’m hoping man I put red Loctite on it but I guess we will see I’m going to the motocross track right now to test it out.

Great stuff, I think that nut is used to help hold the slipper together and stop it from loosing . If you check out the new 3s cars they use that and says for precise adjustments. I think I’m going to try and use it next I rebuild mine . I also take mine apart and lightly sand the mating surfaces with a very fine paper and clean everything really well and it works great . Also I don’t know what pinion you run but everytime I switch to the 15 tooth the slipper loosens up , so I just run the13 tooth and all is good.
@BarstoneRC4 жыл бұрын
I’m running the stock pinion in it and I try using that little nut inside the slipper clutch and it will not go onto the input gear if you have it in there?
@bradvdb41364 жыл бұрын
Bars&tone RC so that’s why the new input gear on the 3s cars are different. Any way I’m excited to see what the next version will bring.

Dude the slipper clutch in this thing hates me, absolutely hates me LOL I just had it out at the track and broke a driveshaft in five seconds because the slipper clutch started slipping too much again so I tightened it up and then broke a driveshaft. I just set it again and Loctited the hell out of it differently this time see if this works?

The only thing I really found wrong with it was the little roller bearing between the two washers on the screw one of the rollers was missing. I put red Loctite on it so far it’s OK I guess I’ll see how it holds up?
@BarstoneRC4 жыл бұрын
So it came loose once again. So I just did what you do with soaking the inside and the bolt with red loctite with it turned out 1 and a 1/4 turns out. I guess I’ll see what happens?
