Nice vid. I've had my kraton 6s v5 and ran about 8 battery packs thru it. Not into extreme jumps but so far I've broken my rear wing mounts, r/f upper and lower control arms (not really the trucks fault, my son drove it into a fence). But so far loving this rig

Totally agree. I almost bought a EXB Kraton but went with a V5 Kraton instead. I'm more than satisfied with my purchase. The EXB at my local hobby shop was one of the earlier versions, which was something I wanted to avoid.

Great run and an unintended durability test of the Kraton. I have so much more respect for driving on BMX tracks since I took my Outcast to a BMX track for the first time and realised it's not as easy as it looks sometimes.

Yeah BMX tracks can be a little tricky especially with the timing of jumps and judging the distance but they are a lot of fun for sure, there’s lots of great jumps and they usually don’t get too muddy which is nice.

I completely agree with you on upgrading. No reason to replace a bunch of parts and go "all metal/aluminum" and have all the stock parts laying around (that won't be needed with metal parts installed) that may not have even broke at all. Now bumpers, skidplates and aluminum differential housings are key because they prevent more expensive damage and hassle fixing diffs. I broke my wing mount screws, but haven't snapped the actual wing mount...yet. Great video!

Well, it depends on what type of driving you’re doing or where you’re doing it at?

Some locations I'd be driving would be places that have a combination of paved road, dirt, gravel and grass. They would also have natural ramps/bumps aka small jumps. Looking for something that has high handling yet durable and capable of bashing sometime in the future as we get more used to it. I've contemplated a Maxx but from my research it tends to rollover more than other options. Not saying the other models wouldn't rollover but I think it would be much less on the Typhon options or Kraton. The contenders at the moment is the TLR tuned Typhon, Typhon 6s, Kraton 6s or Sledge. @@BarstoneRC

Well what I would recommend, is the hot racing rear differential case and the rear differential from the V5 with the EXB spiral cut gears that you already have.

I totally agree with you on the Kraton being one of the or possibly the best platform for bashing. I’m also like you on the EXB versus the previous versions. I have a highly upgraded V2 and it is a tank. I just ordered a EXB shell for it though LOL. IMO it’s just as good as the EXB if not better. I do like that black body though. Great run Dude. Yeah I have just personally had a lot better luck with my V4 versus the EXB but I know everybody’s experience is different but if I had to do it over again I would just buy the V4 or now the V5 and just upgrade stuff as it breaks. But yes the EXB body is sharp looking

max 6 - 1650kv combo. Just an absolute brute setup for the 6s arrma lineup. i run it in my mojave exb with a 23 tooth pinion. wow... scary fast and fun.

I know this is old but I got the 1717 in mine with a Max 6 but if I could do it again I would put the mama monster x in it cuz I was having heat issues and I don't know if it's cuz the combo isnt matching or what but I had it geared very low before it would actually stay cool now that it's cooler out I have a 20 pinion on it and it's a monster even when I had the 13 tooth pinion on it it was still a beast and the plus side of that is you can run it on 4s6s8s doesn't matter and on 4S it's still goes and you can correct it in the air I haven't ran it on 8s cuz I'm scared of what it'll do to the diffs LOL

HAs anyone had an issue with the pinion gear coming loose and moving forward to a point where it wouldn’t engage the drive shaft gear? I’ve used blue thread lock and waited 24 hours to dry and all but that set screw comes loose every time.

I’ve ran different gearing on it before and on a few of my cars the problem I ran into was them overheating all of the time. So I decided to go with a little less speed but I don’t have overheating issues, at least that’s been my experience so far.

My favorite esc/motor combo to date is max 6 with a hobbystar 1730 kv 4092 motor. It's a beast of a motor. Both motor and esc have taken an absolute thumping and always come back for more, lol.. check out rcjuice for the motor. I'm sure you know where to find a max 6 esc. Great bash as always man.

I was also looking into the scale grave digger truck as it's highly detailed. So many options!
