My K8S EXB with the XLX2 and 1100kv motor with 35/47 gearing does 58MPH on pavement and around 54mph on grass. Double backflips like crazy with Yowoo graphene 6000mAh 100C 4s batteries. It's a FREAKING BEAST.

Marc! Sorry for the late reply! Your words and positive energy is always appreciate here! Middle of the road gearing on this with the spektrum firma 1250 kv motor. I would keep the 47t stock spur in with a 21 tooth pinion for middle of the road. But it really depends on what motor and esc you run.

@@moerc Yes, its still looking new at home. I've been researching which motor setup I want. I would like 14S at 520kv but 14S will be a problem and so will 10S at 700kv but will work. Looks like best option is 8s at around 780kv to 1250kv on 200Amp ESC. Probably will aim for 39T pinion and Spur. 😄👍

I mean you can go aggressive with like the 39t spur and a 44t pinion. Earl moorehead has a video with that setup in his kraton BLX 8s. Or you can go with like the 39t spur with 26-30t pinion would be nice as well!

Whats the top speed with the high speed pinion on that sucker?? Don't think l ever seen a k8 tipp up on 2 wheels like that pavement probably had a little to do with that. You'll be taking out dogs kids trees all over the neighborhood with that thing !

Hey man. I have this truck with the 800kv motor. I am putting a 34 tooth pinion on. Should the one grub screw be enough? I am using loctite

It will be close, the 22t pinion gets to the spur but not sure how much would be left for a tight mesh with 21 or even 20t.
