That’s what I got and installed just last night in my Notorious, including 20t pinion. Version 4 Arrmas don’t need any motor mount modification to install this motor.

Well enjoy that configuration is one of my favorites. I would recommend a screen for the Max6 and getting some extra fans that’s one of the Max6 weak points. Bash on 😎😎

I did some research and someone on arrmaforum said the fans break because it is hovering above the heat sink, so when you land, it flexes down and those tiny bars holding the fan snap. Another person said he glues a small washer to the center of the fan so it posts on the heat sink and doesn't go anywhere.

Yeah I always kept it on 6s you can barely keep the tires glued on that. It’s wicked fast on 6 and that combo makes the rig pretty heavy so anymore weight would just make for more breakdowns. Bash on thanks for the comments.

This was a couple years back. They were tough to do and lasted maybe 3 or 4 months. They did help with ballooning just not sure they were worth the trouble and now in my opinion the tires are better anyway

Yeah they can be hard to get in, but I’ve never had one come out either. I have wrapped them in a piece of rubber and using needle nose to get them on and that worked out well. Thanks for the comments bash on😎😎

Both of the motor you are suggesting would get the job done I guess it just depends really on what upgrades you have planned for the Kraton the more weight you add the lower KV would be a better option to keep heat down. If you aren’t adding much weight I think the stock blx system does a get job and is so affordable to replace. Great question. Bash on 😎😎

i want to build my v4 kraton similar to yours with the exception of a few things. so for my power plant ive been looking nonstop for about a week now @ different motor & esc combos. i was thinking of going with the max 8 set up with 1730kv 4092 hobbywing or leopard setup or the hobbywing Xerun Xr8 w/4268sd 1900kv sensored motor. my plan for this build is an m2c goliath chassis thank you 4 tha advice btw, m2c front/rear chassis braces, voltage hobby servo mount, RPM front/rear arms, skip plate, front bumper, wing mount, rear mud guards. ill be installing a heavier duty servo, dusty motors cover "wondering if it will fit with the m2c chassis" along with some other little things from m2c, voltage hobby and just bash it rc. which is inspired by yours , rcdude81 & Kevin tolbart videos. what are your thoughts about the sensored setup? is that gunna be enough torque and speed in such a build? will the temps be ok if i run the stock spur & pinion setup Occasion switching to the high speed pinion? Or do i need to get the max8 setup? i will be running both 4 & 6s max amps batteries cuz there main store is about 10min from my house and i have multiple pairs as i run them in all my rc's, sry enough babbling. please give me your opinion and advice for my kraton build ... thank you for taking the time to respond back. I took a stock ARRMA esc plate dremeled off the motor wire post and then took a template off of the max6 and drilled holes in the esc plate and screwed the max6 to the plate and installed it without issue. You will need to find the right position on the plate as the motor wires aren’t crazy long. I love the combo and the rig is wicked fast. Bash on 😎😎

After the upgrades to my Kraton and the added weight. This gave it a huge power boost. It screams and to date is the rig that has jumped they furthest out of all my RCs. Haris Bennington when you power the rigs over stock I started blowing diffs. This allowed the diffs to hold the power better.

Yeah you could it would fit no problem. My only concern would be the added weight and power would probably twist the chassis much easier than the stock. With that combination in it I have to be careful it’s probably a 40% power increase. 🙏 for watching it is much appreciated. Bash on brother😎😎

No the front tires were wrapped with braided Kevlar fishing line. Little experiment on my part you only need them if you are looking for more speed for general bashing kinda pointless. Bash on😎😎

I have not tried it on the V4 motor mount, but I do believe it will fit the V4 motor mount has some additional height to it. stefan w Yeah I am running a 20t pinion and it is screaming fast with that. I also put 500k in the center diff and that helped. You are spot on with the worry about the motor hitting the chassis I ended up using a large zip tie to fill the little space I had and that has worked perfectly.

Yeah it’s a monster alright. I haven’t put a gps on it, but just from running it my prediction is over 75. Stock electronics with the high speed pinion is 60 and no question it’s faster than that. Thanks for watching. Bash on😎😎

With that 1650kv I geared up to a 20 tooth Tekno pinion. You can try the 18 and see if you like it. In my opinion the 20 is perfect 👌.
