I'm glad to help. Those 2 pivot balls contribute the most to all the slop these cars get. That steering arm will slip vertically and add nearly had an inch of slop in the steering. Once I replaced those, the steering was many degrees tighter. I gotta upgrade to the aluminum pivot ball set too. Keep us posted on how they last. Rock on and thanks for the vids 🤙

Dang! You are really making me want to get one! Looks so good - very nice driving! I am *attempting* to race my Slash 4x4...but not having much luck. Thinking of swapping to one of these. Subscribed!

Can we talk about the onion sack you're using as a dust guard? I swear I have one sitting on my bench and been thinking about doing the same thing.

Looks good. Nice uprades from the Mega. Do you have a video showing the slot you did for the spur and pinion?

Yes, that would be in the Kraton 4s slipper spring vid. I'll try to link it

i need to upgrade my input shafts for the drive shaft, and the adjustable turnbuckles, one of my tires turns outward a hair and makes it rough to steer on high speed. i upgraded my mega to brushless. using the hobbywing 120a sensored esc with a surpass hobby 3660 3300kv 4.5t brushless motor. i ran mine on 2s but seemed about same as the brushed motor so i popped in a 3s on mine OMG we did a speed run with 17t pinion and stock spur was about 30 on my short side road and it was rough to keep her straight torque was so high she would slide alot. i changed to 23t pnion on stock spur i can almost get it to 40. lets say a week on 3s i will need to get some new rubber.... but man are they fun! i bought 2 at same time mine and one for my boys his motor just went out on his so i plan on doing same upgrade. and i am gonna get me a new one and the boys will both have theirs. i love the content thanks been watching some of your vids since i got mine and wante to uprade they are so easy to work on! i need to get the hot racing spur in both mine do you happen to have the part# so i can order 2 of em?

Unfortunately, I found that HR Steel spur gear no longer available, when I tried to upgrade another MEGA truck. I swapped everything over to the 3S setup but you'll need to run a 5mm motor shaft to match the right pinion.

Dust cover is home made out of window screen and velcro

Put more throttle into it on the jumps and hold your throttle wide open in the air and you won’t nose dive so much. I also bought the mega and immediately ripped its guts out. I went with mamba x system and running 3s at the moment. Last run broke my lower suspension arms so waiting for the metal ones to come in! It’s stupid fast on 3s but capable of 6s. Need to upgrade my diffs and most likely switch to metal spur gear before running it on 6s.

The tires on the Senton don't have enough rotational mass for easy midair corrections. Setup on launch was essential in a smooth landing. It was a 2s track car, so throwing 3s at it would have made it a basher and not suitable for it's class. Thanks for the comment 🙂

What is the name of that screen / cover over the car before body is put on?
@larrys42274 жыл бұрын
Its just a cover I made out of window screen and velcro. It does a good job of keeping stick/rocks/debris out of the chassis

could you please tell me what shocks those are and do they leak like the stock ones...
@larrys42274 жыл бұрын
They are the Typhon shocks. Fix the ones you have first. Horizon has the rebuild kit that fixes the leaks. I rebuilt 2 sets and they both are perfect.

What size and where did u find those pivot balls ?
@larrys42274 жыл бұрын
I don't use those pivot balls anymore. Everything wears out too fast. Instead, use Traxxas 5525 and a handful of #8 washers to take up alittle slack. Works excellent and don't have to worry about them anymore

@@larrys4227 Cool. I watched again, just looks very similar. Nice track though, gotta love the outdoors. Nice truck though, I have a mega converted to 3s as well that I don't use much. Im looking at converting it to a drag or gt and came across your video. If you still have it, how has the drive train held up for you?

Drive train has been fine! It is one of the most consistent trucks I own.
