Hey Earl!! I just ran my own vendetta for the first time and was looking for ride heigh adjustments, happy this video helped me out. That is pretty creative with the adjustable pre-load on the shocks. What sucks is they did not give it any more shock position adjustment. If you remove the shock and let the arm hang, there is great potential for ride height changes. Somebody should come up with a easy to get more heigh with the stock setup and not going with longer shocks.

Yes I agree should have more mounting positions 💯🤔

Earl the gun shaped tool is also used to undo the shock bottom cap, the 2 weird looking stick out parts with slots on slide either side is for unscrewing the lower cap of the shock. It slides onto the shock shaft then push the tool up into the lower end cap & turn. The reason their are 2 is for different size/diameter shock bodies. The larger one is possibly for a future 4s car/truck that uses larger shocks like they did on the old 4s Kraton/Outcast.

Thanks for this. Good info on the preload being adjustable. As for composite plastics, I prefer composites to aluminum for parts that are under stress or where you are picky about tolerance. Aluminum and steel parts are good for rigidity but, they are less forgiving than good plastic composites. Just like the 7075 motor mounts available for these cars. Great idea for the offroad vehicles based on this chassis but, for smooth surface running.......not needed! I also agree about the weight savings. Much like you I am running 8000MAH 120C CNHL packs. Bang for buck this chassis makes a a great handling onroad touring/drifting/hooning/rally type vehicle for the actual cost of the blx series. I am sure they work great as the granite and vorteks too but, I have more fun not having to go source out offroad places to run. The first upgrades I will be doing are adjustable turnbuckles, steel or aluminum pivot palls, sealed bearings in the steering bell cranks and with luck I will be able to find some solid rubber tires in a good compound that aren't much difference in diameter. The elevens are nice tires and they hook up well but, man these cars eat em' up! I have the Infraction BLX 3s and although the plastic pivot balls bind and it needs to be gone over right out of the box, I think is a great deal and loads of fun! All the best. I subscribed.

I'm glad they changed the design of the shocks a little over the V3. They only came with the preloaded spacers.

On other arrma shocks, yes. On these you need to use the supplied tool. The notch in the eyelet that usually fits in at the bottom of the shock is too big to fit in to it.

In my experience , sometimes plastic is better than metal because it can absorb a heavy blow and bounce back meanwhile metal will either bend and stay bent or just snap

Yes and slipper clutch adjustment supposed to be able to work on the complete rc with that tool and the two Allen keys
@Wooskii1 Жыл бұрын
I just bought one because it IS plastic, I think plastic is way better for what Arrma was going for- a basher. Aluminum bends and doesn't spring back, but it holds tighter tolerances. Plastic might wear a little quicker but shouldn't develop corrosion issues. It's always a tradeoff... If I really wanted a dedicated speed pass car I would have chosen something on a different chassis. I'm planning on doing some rally & drift stuff with little modding and I bet this thing will take some serious abuse going off the other 3S cars on the same chassis.

Wonder if basherqueen could make some shock extender's, like a cap that the top or bottom of the shock bolts in and then the cap bolts into the original shock hole giving it a few more mm raised.

Just a simple silicone tubing inside the shock to slign the chassi to the user liking and adding more spring tension to remove the rubbing
