So many things we hunters can do to help increase our odds of having the “perfect shot placement”. I feel like a lot of people around me think I’m crazy when I tell them I’m lining my spine with fletchings giving me the 3 options getting close enough is what I say.. but removing the veins and going that route to line the spine and nock giving the best results.. I’ve just never removed veins on purpose that’s why I need the vein placement tool thing lol… I’ve learned a lot over the years mak my me a better and better hunter every year..

I have been enjoying the crossbow month spectacular. I knew, you would end up being a wrench, when you started with those ridiculous contraptions, called compounds. 😅 Well... You have advanced into the deep dark hole and (IMO) you should just get the spine indicator. It isn't expensive and you have the fletcher. You know how to install all the components... Time to start ordering your shafts raw and doing it yourself. At the very least, you can strip and rebuild the shelf offerings. That said... This is and has been a learning channel forever and it's time (again, IMO) to bring your crew into the advanced stage. Custom arrows simply refers to the fact that the guy that makes them, knows what they are doing. YOU DO. BUY THE TOOLS.

You obviously own two modern crossbows that load up opposite. The Deathstalker loads cock vane down, & the Swat X1 loads cock vane up. In either case, spine aligning your arrows will still be helpful. Personally, I think life is easier when the cock vane is lined up with the spine. The drop-away rest on my compound bow allows me to shoot my arrows however I want. I could shoot 4 vane arrows if I wanted. I shoot cock vane up on my 3 fletched arrows each time to take advantage of the factory spine alignment. Victory arrows take this a step further. The opposite side of the spine is devoid of any decals, and that allows the arrows to be drawn across the rest with less friction/noise. I appreciate companies that think of the little things.
@Cloud4hundred203 ай бұрын
@@driftlesshunter9200 yeah the cocking veins up and down would eventually mess me up not paying attention caught in the moment and adrenaline running.. super cool to have different set ups though.
@Cloud4hundred203 ай бұрын
@@driftlesshunter9200 never really payed attention to the manufacturing ways of doing things. I always just did process of elimination.. which was very expensive but now I know the set up I want and need. Killer instinct hypR crossbow bolts with lighted nocks.. really sweet arrows super tough.. many people don’t like them because they are glued ends already so you can’t pull the nocks or inserts very easy anyways. But the grains are perfect for me.. and I always use the mega meat broadheads or even the dead meat broadheads has to be the red collar for high speed crossbows though. But this set to me has been unmatched. Black eagle arrows were my favorite till I demanded the lighted nocks. It’s a lot of work to put nocks on an arrow and new inserts with added weight in the front of the arrow just to shoot once and be gone forever or broken. So I started buying arrows already to what I needed. Also another super cool thing killer instinct did was put a rubber o ring with a little pull tab on the o rings to put on the nocks so it can’t be pushed prematurely.

My first suggestion is make sure you're turning elevation down and not off, I'm not pointing fingers, I am talking from personal experience, I made that mistake time and time again. I'm not saying you are but there's always that possibility. Assuming that's not the case, the next thing to do is contact barnett. I'm sorry but every once in awhile I get this question and it's just a bum crossbow design flaw. Make sure you're using the right arrow weight as a minimum also but other than that I don't have any ideas.

was that only one shot per arrow if so then you cant get any statistical information out of that shot an arrow 10-25 times the we can start talking then you will see if those will hit the same spot every time the more shots the better your endresult will be, first you need to figure out if the arrow makess the same flight every time or if there is something else interfering with the arrows flight. persnally i would try to find someone that is a crossbow target shooter at high level and see if i could get tips/ideas on how to tune the gear for optimal shooting. i would also check how out of balance the arrows are since they rotate that comes into play as well the faster they rotate the bigger the balance is influencing the flight. you felt the trimmer when it loses one string P.S. i did quite a bit of target shooting indoors and was fairly good at it, but it bceame to cumbersome 70 miles back and forth and only for 3 hours once a week and on top of that one needs a gun license in sweden to have a crossbow for some reason.

@@Deathbybunjie well get a bunch of hunting buddies use same models of x-bows preferably get a bunch of extra strings over a weekor or weekends, in some types of competition shooting only one arrow is used shot repeatedly(can this maybe start tell us something) i also saw on wolfzeit sweden that there a kit to improve fps with 20 on older excals pre -2013 without voiding warrant or limb life. p.s. it comes to mind that the rail the arrow touches is about 30-35mm at both eds the rest is chamfered so arrow is sort of floating most of the way those are 90 degree corners to make minimal friction i just had a look on both of my excals and the rail edge/groove has rounded edges wich would make more friction i cant say how much difference that can make

Have to have multiple crossbows....different purposes, setup differently, backups in case something goes wrong or breaks while you get it fixed, loaning one to someone tagging along etc etc. "Two is one and one is none!" You'll never guess who lives by that standard. "Beware of the man who only has one gun he knows how to use it". That's actually a myth and not true at all. In fact the "less" you have the more "amateur" and not serious you are......Do you have one hammer, one ratchet, one screwdriver etc etc? POW....it just broke and you're done!
