It is amazing you mixed all the bags for the floor!! I have done a 2x2 square and that was enough for me!!! Great work ethic!!

Thanks for this video! I’m setting up the 8x6 one in my backyard. Does it come with anchors, or will I need to purchase those separately?
@roadglassandmore4 ай бұрын
No anchors, I had to buy my own. I also ran polyurethane sealant on the bottom, to make it water tight.

Awesome job! 👏 What did you use to anchor it with and how did you anchor it down??
@roadglassandmore3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I used 1/4” plastic anchors and 1 1/2” long screws . And I also ran a bead of polyurethane caulk to water seal the bottom to concrete slab:

Hows it holding up? Do i need any special foundation or can i put it directly on my concrete backyard driveway?
@roadglassandmore Жыл бұрын
You don’t need special foundation, it’s holding up on, it’s pretty flimsy but can’t beat the cost.

Any problems after 3 years? Moisture damage or mold growth?
@roadglassandmore4 ай бұрын
Only one complaint, I wish doors had small wheels instead of plastic guides, have constantly lubricate them and doors don’t open smoothly. But other than that everything is good, no moisture or mold , although it doesn’t rain all that much where I live

It doesn’t have to have cement pad, you can set it on anything, I saw people even use plywood.

Would it be cheaper if you would call a concrete company to come by with there truck and pore?
@roadglassandmore Жыл бұрын
You are paying someone’s gas and labor on top of concrete cost. So it’s cheaper to do it yourself, but this was a last time I did any concrete work, I will be paying someone to do it for me , it’s way too hard and back breaking
@kchilz32 Жыл бұрын
@@roadglassandmore actually where I live there are concrete mixing trucks that once you have the area prepared for poring cement they will come by with a cement mixing truck and por it quickly then you would smooth it out.

Much respect, you are fearless to tackle this whole project on your own. I have done some research on this one and everyone says you need at least 2 people for it. You've given me the confidence I needed to go at it alone too. I will be doing exactly what you did including building the platform. Do you recall how many bags of concrete you used? were they 40 or 80 pounds each? I also noticed you didn't use rebar. Was that a conscious decision ? or you just didn't care? Also..any leaks during rain season? Thank you.
@roadglassandmore3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I do most of the work by myself, but I would recommend you have someone help you with mixing and purring concrete! My back didn’t like that too much. I think I have used about 50 ( 60lbs)bags of concrete) . I didn’t use rebar because I don’t think it’s needed, there isn’t much weight to support. Also we haven’t had rain here since I installed it, but I did seal the bottom with some polyurethane caulking.

I bought the same one...nothing but heartache and backache. Parts didn't fit right, holes did not line up and to top it all, the doors will not open or close unless I use both hands and my back. I double checked all measurements, base is square, top is square and using a level all bubbles are centered. Piece of junk..I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE, EVEN IF IT IS FREE!
@justaname5139 Жыл бұрын
I feel your pain. Roof was very frustrating none of the holes wanted to line up. I actually made a few holes in the beams myself because they just wouldn't line up no matter which way I twisted the building. I wouldn't recommend this building to anyone unless it's pre assembled and brought to you on a trailer. Or pay to have the company that makes them come assembled it for you.
@rileybolling761 Жыл бұрын
If you run the screws at an angle then drive them in they go just fine. None of mine lined up and I got them to go with a little angling. Very unprofessional craftsmanship on the part of the company but in the end it’s decent enough
