Thanks for making great videos I watch you on my TV, before the internet there was nothing to watch about rc.

Thanks Allan! She's been around this stuff for so long now, and she's really gotten to have a pretty good eye for the details we're looking for - she's great!!!!

Brian, I had a battery with one cell below 3 volts so the charger would not start. So I plugged the balance lead from another 'OK' battery into the charger to fool it and then it started to charge. I monitored the voltage with a voltage checker and once the voltage rose over the low limit I was able to remove the other battery and balance charge this one. Worked great but be sure to monitor the charging closely when doing this. Don't leave it unattended.
@BrianPhillipsRC2 жыл бұрын
Nice! I've always just cheated the voltage in "without the balance lead" and then the SMART circuit USUALLY fixes it. However, in my somewhat limited experience, the SMART packs that do this end up dying again.

@@BrianPhillipsRC yes sir, I learned that when I raced 1/10 Touring a long time ago. My chassis was an X Ray T3, it was released in 2009 and I got the first one at our track

The better way to bump a battery pack up to charge it is to use a parralell plug to single and plug the low battery into one side and a good charged battery of the same size into the other side of the parralell plug for a few seconds. Use the two parralell sides NOT the output end.
@BrianPhillipsRC Жыл бұрын
That could cause your battery to over-discharge - also very dangerous, but you CAN do it. If you want to do it as safe as possible, you can integrate a controlled circuit, like a charger, in the middle.... But to all their own, both are kinda "no-no's " - LOL - but really, be safe out there ;)

Are replacement 4-blade props, prop adapters and spinners easily available?
@BrianPhillipsRC Жыл бұрын
IF they're in stock, yes...but spare parts stock come and go, so you need to get a few, if you think you'll need them. No, this is not meant to be a sarcastic reply, it's correct, and accurate...but might be easily misunderstood, so I wanted to clarify. P.S. If you ever had trouble getting a spare prop, I'd be surprised, BUT you might have trouble with the SPINNER...that's what I struggle to find when and if I crash a plane. My 2 cents - get 'em while they're hot. I have so many planes, I won't skip a beat if I lose a prop, but when I was new, I had multiple of each spare part for my "everyday fliers", of which I had a handful...so I still have a lot of parts for these planes, and these parts have served me well over the years...well, some of them have, many have collected dust.

You are probably right that all Arrows warbirds must have a 4s battery to get them good. To bad about that tight fit for 4s batteries as these Arrows planes are so nice to build. Compared to the E-Flite June Nite one would think it's in the same league but it's not as the June Nite just works out of the box.

Hey Brian! Great video... I should know, I've watched it 100 times! Anyway I am running the same setup, but the elevator servo doesn't really have much movement unless the flaps are barndoor. Any idea what might be the issue? I was thinking the SAFE set up might not be working properly.

I need help, I have the receiver that comes with the bind and fly t28, I want to set it to my P-51, which I bought because of you LOL . I have a dx6, so far I got the flaps to work and the ailerons just move about a millimeter each way at the same time.. Can you please help me..
@BrianPhillipsRC4 ай бұрын
I trust you're talking about the Eflite 1.2m T-28? If not, please clarify. If it is that Rx, then make sure you're in the right mode...SAFE/AS3X which will GREATLY impact how far the surfaces move. Also, the direction the Rx was mounted matters, unless you factory reset the Rx, then treat it like a PNF, which would be better. I don't know if the DX6 supports some of the newer Forward Programming. Have you considered upgrading to at least the NX7e, or the DX8, or DX10? I know it's not a cheap move, and most HATE to change Transmitters, since it's something we grow to love...but I know the DX lineup will lose support, eventually. Maybe this is the time to do it? Also, try moving the ailerons plug to the Rudder, and the Rudder to the Ailerons and see if the "problem" of moving only a millimeter, persists. You need to see if the Servos are screwed up, or the Rx, OR the setup.
