Really nice video of the facility and people. And I really love my Grado Reference RS2e OMG these sound amazing and most comfortable and feather light. I'm so impressed that I'm looking to upgrading to a Grado reference Cartridge.

I'll always own a pair of 80's. 60's are no joke too. Alive sounding. I wish they would get crazy and make some cheap planar magnetic headphones. Everyone and their grandma would own a a pair.

I do find some similarities between grado and fender. Their simple constructions, the philosophy of not wasting anything (sr100, 200, 300) and the most important, the bright and beautiful sounds. Maybe the best combo?

I need to ask: why the very uncomfortable ear pads? Surely there must be far more comfortable materials that still deliver the sound signature you are wanting to portray. Even if you offer them as an additional purchase rather than allowing the outside community to fill the void with low quality options that merely feel comfortable to wear for longer than an hour, yet has the feeling we are losing elements of sound.

I see the grado amps, would an amp be needed to listen or improve my listening experience via my iPad Pro? Or are the Grado headphones great without the $450 cost of an amp?

I own the Grado RS2e and sound awesome straight out of my iPhone 7 but do get that extra push in soundstage and clarity with a good budget Amp. Like a schiit modi. I pair mine with the Oppo HA-2se and it's a match made in heaven to be honest. Couldn't be happier with the combo.

They're low impedance. No need for an amp. But like the previous commenter said an amp makes them better. Will still sound great out of any mobile device

I'm bored cause they always mention about the Grado "happy family" had a fruit store etc , good they're a happy family but actually i don't care and (as a grado fan) didn't bought all my grado 'phones & cartridges caused of that. I will really appreaciate if they'll show us and talk about how the build the hi-end cartidges & headphones, how they make / retip the styli and other more important things than the family story! They also (almost) don't mention the founder Joseph Grado ,the one who tought John all the secrets and hold all the paterns that grado company is proud for!

Actually, I took a risk, read as many reviews as I could and bought a Grado Prestige Green cartridge. Totally satisfied, a big leap in transparency and accuracy from my old Goldring. I guess it could have been a disaster... but it wasn't. It was good to see where my cartridge was built.

Nothing medieval here. Try to disassemble Beats or any other highly advertised crap, and you'll see same plastics. Some of popular brand headphones have additional weights, so their headphones will be heavier, which is unrelated to acoustics, but consumer will assume they are more high-techy. Grados are perfect for rock, jazz, acoustics. Kids who listen to hip-hop obviously won't appreciate.
