We can't start him against Rennes. Too risky we need a lineup that has been playing together all season. Maybe give him time of we're winning. I'd go for Iwobi Auba Mkhi Ozil Kola Torreira xhaka Niles Nacho Mustafi Kos Iwobi and Kolasinac link up well wide. Maitland has earnt himself a place. Playing a 3 back means we have a lot of extra width which we do well with as we dont have any proper wingers and it can stop their fast players from counter attacks. Can bring ramsey on for Ozil when we need to defend.

What's interesting about yesterday's win is that 80% of the players that were on the pitch were Wenger recruited players... And because of Emery's tactical nuances we were able to win that game with a group of players who massively underperformed because of Wenger's naivety to change things up in big crucial games.

My ratings as an Arsenal fan. Leno - 9 He was immense, made some top class saves and his distribution was excellent. Man U just didnt force enough top saves from him to give him the 10. Kolasinac - 8 Some very good work down that left hand side driving at Man U and causing a lot of problems. One cross in particular at the start of the game was a great ball but not much more from him in terms of end product to deserve anymore than an 8. Monreal - 8 Very good performance from Nacho, technically safe and defended excellently without being totally dominant. Kos - 9 Dominant performance from our captain, lead from the back and won pretty much every duel he engaged in. Sokratis - 9 Just as dominant as the captain, won pretty much every duel he engaged in and wore his heart on his sleeve as always. AMN - 8 A tad ineffective in an attacking sense in the first half giving away the ball a few times although still good defensively. Second half he was excellent all round. Rambo - 8 Great showing again from Ramsey, technically sound, got involved in build up without trying anything too fancy and worked his socks off. Xhaka - 10 Dictated the game from start to finish, had Pogba in his pocket, scored a cracking strike which rooted De Gea from the swerve and power. Defended well and didnt put a foot wrong all round. Bossed the midfield in a superb display. Ozil - 7 Worked his socks off and played well with some nice touches. Wasnt overly influential or effective but still a workmanlike performance which was great to see especially considering its that area he usually lacks in. Laca - 8 Superb overall performance and was very influencial in the game, just lacked a goal or 2. Auba - 7 Not very effective all round (probably due to his lack of confidence) but was a threat with his movement and pace throughout, dispatched the pen though which gets him the 7. Hopefully that sorts his confidence out and he can go on another scoring run until the ned of the season. Emery - 9 Cant fault the boss. Got the lineup formation and tactics spot on. My only slight criticism (which isnt really a criticism, just what I woulda done) was taking off Ozil for Iwobi sooner than he did. He did however manage to take the front 3 off and give others some needed game time whilst keeping the result comfortable. Unai Emery's red and white army! COYG! 3rd place would be magic ;) Subs - Iwobi - 5 Suarez - 6 Looked pretty sharp and dangerous when he came on. Nketia - 5

Suarez and Iwobi’s job when they came on was to stretch Utd and also tire them out but also to pressure Young and Shaw when they were pushing forward. When Shaw and Young did go forward, they were always cautious as Suarez and Iwobi were fresher and quicker in the late stages of the game. Young was yelling at the defence and midfield to show urgency and options but in fact Iwobi was shutting the areas down forcing him backwards. Definitely 7 for the both of them at least.

How could you not give Monreal and Laca straight 10s. Both were magnificent. Ainsley’s delivery and touch were poor especially in the 2nd half. Despite a couple of great last ditched tackles he was our weak link. So 6 is the most he should get. Ozil was just a little above average - 6. Auba showed nerves of steel. Agree with the ratings except for the top 3. Aubameyang for scoring the goal gets 8 but otherwise was poor. Lacazette deserves a 10 in my humble opinion. he worked hard, held up play well, kept the defenders busy and got the penalty. Ozil 8, ran about the pitch without getting to close to anybody but was always available in the final third, weak on the ball, caught offside when he should not have been, to many loose passes. He did give about 4 passes in or near the box, one of which was about 7 yards out from goal to Auba, when he should be taking that shot.

Playing a 3 back means we have a lot of extra width which we do well with as we dont have any proper wingers and it can stop their fast players from counter attacks. Can bring ramsey on for Ozil when we need to defend.*
