Just my 2 pennies on the Havertz dive: There's enough contact on the challenge to justify not giving a yellow. Yes, he sells it. No, it's not a pen, but there's contact between the players and shouldn't be a yellow for simulation.

What is a penalty. Because I don't own sky I watch two game on TV this year Chelsea vs us and man city vs Liverpool. I don't understand how you can kick a player in the chest with purpose and thats fine yet touch ball every so slightly and while jumping in the area and that's a penalty

I didn't realise they were still giving yellows for diving. I haven't seen one this season. Pretty sure I've seen some bad ones against us (Arsenal)

I think it's quite logical that there should be a scenario where there is a pen given and a yellow given for selling the contact, punish the player for over doing the reaction but it still can remain a foul. Seems pretty obvious to me anyway.

@@Therapy.artist I don't think so. It's impossible to punish players for diving when there's contact, no matter how minimal. You can only give a yellow for diving in no contact situations, because it's such fine margins wether you can stay up or not during a fast paced, high intensity action.

Ramsdale was an awareness problem. Twice before he was nearly caught, and he was so confident he just continued doing what he had been doing and was caught this third time.

Andrew, I am so happy that you are the number one Arsenal podcaster in the world. Ramsdale back in the Arsenal team and all of a sudden the Emirates has turned into a frenzy basketball game and we've lost all sorts of control in the game, how did Brentford manage more shots on target with Ramsdale in goal than the last 5 prem games combined with Raya in goal?

​@@KarltonFranz maybe but i noticed that ramsdale did not have as aggressive of a position as Raya would have on a couple of occasions which meant that he couldn't come out to sweep up any balls that got past our back line. Also possibly affecting his ability to claim crosses as aggressively. Probably nitpicking here, but his balls out to the wing also were comparatively loopy rather than the flat distribution that we see from Raya which meant that Brentford had an opportunity to get into a position to challenge for the ball in the air. Of course these two factors wouldn't necessarily equate to more shots on goal but it was interesting to see the difference between the two keepers now that Raya has had an extended run of games after settling into the club. I do believe that he would not have saved the Toney shot if he was playing so I'm not taking anything away from Ramsdale's contributions. However I kind of got what Arteta was trying to do by playing Raya over Ramsdale.

More reasons to trust in Mikel's judgement calls . I've been fully on board since Mesut, Mkhitaryan, and Auba were shown the door. Whatever happens we have to appreciate we've got a proper team challenging for honours now. Unlike some seasons prior to Arteta's appointment our season hasn't ended in October.

​@@KarltonFranz For one, Raya probably wouldn't have had that shot that resulted in a goal. What's fascinating is thinking that a keeper that plays like a defender is somehow not responsible for shots on his goal. What do you think happens when a keeper loses the ball to a bad pass?

The reality of the situation is Liverpool are not going away, they keep picking up points, they should have put citeh away in the second half. It almost doesn’t matter who they put on the pitch, players are putting in quality performances. They have a touch of the Leicester city about them, where you keep expecting them to fall off any minute now and yet they refuse.

Declan can't play 6 for arsenal this is why jorginho is being selected as the 6 in big games. He can't pass forward. He does well in a double pivot or 8. This clear to see.

@Arseblog I mean that, lol. He has limitations with his progression and line splitting passes. This is why we have brought in jorginho. This is clear to see. Whenever we play big teams we put him in a double pivot with someone who can pass. This is when Declan thrives. As lone 6 his limitations are exposed. Good footballer but not a 6 for a team like Arsenal.
