Jonathan David is a player i've watched alot. Been watching him ever since he was linked to Arsenal back when he was balling in Belgium. The Arsenal fan was not truthful about him by saying he was not clutch. He scored big goals for Lille during there Ligue 1 title winning season when they dethroned PSG, including scoring winner v PSG & on the final day to secure the title. Jonathan David got alot of flack for his performances for Canada, particularly in World Cup when they dominated Belgium but couldn't score, losing that game. Jonathan David is a solid player, nothing flashy, good hold up play. He was a player I had high hopes for but has since been less and less impressed with the more i've watched him. He is not a Chelsea or big 6 calibre striker. He is for me if were talking tiers of strikers with Ligue 1 strikers. He is a tier just below Ben Yedder level. Jonathan David is not a better player or striker then Lacazette. David also isn't that clinical Nicolas Jackson has a much higher ceiling & potential. Jackson can be a nightmare for defenders with his pace, dribbling and runs. He justs so wasteful. Jonathan David isn't that but he won't be the threat or manufactor same quality chances. Defenders would prefer to plat Jonathan David. Chelsea should go for Openda who is 2 tiers above David. Openda is younger, proven in 3 big leagues scoring 19 goals in Eredivisie, 21 goals in Ligue 1 and 24 goals in Bundesliga in 3 straight seasons. Openda has adjusted to the league quick, has that explosiveness. He scored 4 goals in champions league last seaoson including 2x vs Man city where he cooked them & destroyed Ruben Dias. People soured on Openda because of the Real Madrid game where he was dangerous but wasteful, but so was Sesko.

Which I'm all for, but you can't be doing it by making it seem your giving an honest opinion, because your claims don't match. Being skeptical of Chelsea & Boehly is fine, everbody should be. Also Chelsea track record of strikers and attackers stink, they have a history of killing quality attackers. But saying Jonathan David was not clutch when he was the definition of clutch when Lille won Ligue 1, dethroning PSG. Tuchel was sacked at PSG because they were 1 or 2 points below Lille midseason and Poch failed to overtake them also that season. Jonathan David in the pivotal game of that season scored winner v PSG. Jonathan David isn't a bum, he's a top striker in Ligue 1. I just don't see him as a big 6 club calibre CF. Lacazette was ultimately not good enough at Arsenal despite prolific numbers in Ligue 1 and Lacazette back in Ligue 1, he resumed being prolific again. Lacazette was too easy to mark out a game, lacked the explosiveness or speed, had the odd moments of quality. He lacked size, explosiveness, movement or physicality to thrive as a top level striker at a big club. Jonathan David will have similar problems. Chelsea or even Arsenal should just go for Victor Osimhen. Osimhen has all that. Osimhen is dominant physically, dominant aerially, has the size, explosive and speed to dominate in PL. David wants to do the other things, like the link up play at times. David is just solid, nothing fancy and not exceptional at anything. Osimhen is a natural goalscorer. An underatted quality in a footballer is bravery. Osimhen has alot of that. He's willing to take risks, he's willing to throw himself at harms way to win the ball or to score a goal.

Sterling is on high wages because of experience and age but giving 220k to Olise a young player would cause huge problems in the dressing room. That’s why we sold Mount he wanted £250k.
