there are clearly some talksport subscribers who feel strongly that if *they're* not interested in something, then it doesn't hold value.. but as a woman who's never been bothered about football until i wasn't just seeing MEN play it.. characters like rue, shebahn and anita have really changed that for me! so glad they're being given well deserved airtime.. great first episode, really looking forward to more!

Brilliant - fantastic first guests, really enjoyed listening to Neetz. Shebahn presenting skills en pointe as always! Ruesh is always seen as the banter and fun( which we love her for) but this really showed the knowledge and understanding of football she has which made this work so well. You could see the sense in all the discussion she had with Neetz and then the cheeky smile with some of her comments 😂 Keep up the good work girls, can’t wait for the next one, these are going to become the go to for WSL/Championship reviews/updates/ analysis for the season!

I actually have to say I really enjoyed listening to Ruesha. I understood 99% of what she was saying so that helps! I'm not sure whether she slowed her speech down or the sound quality was better but either way I was happy to listen to her take on things.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the shite talk but it was really nice to enjoy Ruesha speaking about football… properly 😂

Shebhan, you’re brilliant this is exactly the setting I was hoping would happen for you and Ruesha.The show was a perfect balance of you showing off your professionalism in the media space and having such a quality guest on that can talk football on Rueshas level was great to hear..Say what you want about Ruesha, but she really knows her football 💯 great show!

Amazing show I will say there needs to be more teams going into the WSL and expand the league. Also have more teams going up and down. It needs to be more competitive. There is some amazing teams in the championship it’s not fair one team goes up and one goes down.

Loved the show. Great to have such exciting guests. Ruesha and Shebahn are knowledgeable, articulate & engaging presenters. If there are men that don’t like women’s sport, maybe the show isn’t for them, but for people who enjoy women’s sports, this is a fantastic listen. If you don’t like it, don’t listen. Really happy to see women being represented by such inspiring women.

Remember at the last champions league final, rue and lucy quinn bumped into vicky losada, who is also several FC 25 notches above the Brighton lot, and she was shaking her head and confessed she did extra runs at the end of training just to feel like she train at her normal elite level instead of wherever Brighton was camping at. You guys should have Vicky Losada be a guest next and ask her if Caldentey was asking her for advice and also doing extra runs after training. Wish Sheb asked Meado if she got a new Spanish or swedish roommate or if Walti has a new roommate instead 😅 Was wondering what you guys think about players being present for post game press conferences where they provide thoughts about what happened in the game, which is happening in the nwsl. But in the WSL only the manager do the post game press conferences and field the media questions. Should WSL players do post match press conferences too? I think it's nice for the fans to hear the player's honest assessment and perspectives instead of the managers repeating the same stuff that the team needs to work on while endorsing the same unsuccessful coaching tactics 😪

RE Anita's comments on Man U: it seems like Man U just flat out DON'T have a business model bc they flat out DON'T value the women's side - Ratcliff has basically said as much when confronted about it, saying their priority is their "first team", aka the men's side. I don't want to assume the worst, but watching the exodus of talent, with Earps even alluding to the team's treatment as a reason for her exit, it almost seems that IS their 'business plan' for the women's side - starve it of resources so they keep failing so they can justify taking more from it and maybe even axing it altogether. I mean, they've only even been fully pro in this iteration since 2018! Absolutely shameful to see how the men's game deliberately holds the women back, over and over and over again (it's why I can't even stomach watching men's football anymore - not a single player on Man U's men's team said a word about booting the women from their facilities...).

I only wander into talkspace...because of these twins. I hope you guys will figure out how to morph into the equivalent of golazo network with Abdo, Henry, Carrogher and Meeks. I just wanna tune in and have tons of laughs and see some women football goofiness and maybe chat a little bit seriously about football tactics. I'm pretty tired of hearing about ACL research, clubs disappointing fans, struggles of women's rights, investment stuff, misogynistic remarks from fifa/owners/men in general, among other serious issues that belong to more serious platforms. I just wanna laugh and enjoy all the fun pranks and shenanigans and witty clapbacks
@MartaComplexАй бұрын
Great, but if it weren't for all the topics you dismiss women's football wouldn't have the profile that has made a podcast like this possible. There are many clubs in the top two tiers whose treatment of their women's teams would horrify you. As much as it is great to have a laugh, we will never get to a place where we can just enjoy the sport without continuing to deal with some of the more depressing situations.
@markrochford897Ай бұрын
Is this just another Arsenal chat show. I hope not as after seeing them play in champions league they won’t win WSL.

We will have to wait for United the only club capable of challenging City's dominance.
@MartaComplexАй бұрын
Lol. I'm a United fan, so it's not because of any bias that I say you have lost your mind. United have never been in a worse place. The new owners have declared that they have not yet got round to doing any planning for the team. The transfer window was dictated by very low spending and the calibre of players brought in is simply not comparable to Chelsea, Arsenal and City. We are playing very poor football under Skinner - hence our 6-0 battering at the hands of Chelsea at the end of last season. United's women's side is in disarray with key staff lost and the much-heralded state of the art training facilities given to the men, while the women are relegated to portable cabins. A parade of big name players has left the club and we have lost numerous Lionesses, whose profiles draw people to games. Pre-season has been mixed so far. Loads of other clubs headed off on pre-season tours to places like Australia, which builds fanbases, whilst United spent nothing on this and the team barely left the Midlands. Cost-cutting is the driving force at the moment and due to all of the above agents are actively informing players not to go to United. We lack any true big names, with the exception of perhaps Ella Toone. The opening game at Old Trafford will be a disaster as the game has been so poorly marketed that the turnout is expected to be the worst ever at the ground. We will likely win against West Ham (although anything is possible), but many fans are extremely worried about the direction the club is going in. We are simply not spending enough or implementing enough of a coherent plan to challenge the top teams. I really hope that we are proved wrong, but it is not looking good. Fans should be uniting and holding Ratcliffe and the Glazers to account, but instead any mention of all this and there is a pile-on of toxic positivity from blinkered supporters who cannot separate loyalty to the team from the need to demand better standards from the club.
