I think I speak for most Arsenal fans when I say, when it wasn’t possible for us, I wanted Liverpool to win the league. From what I’ve seen, a lot of Liverpool fans feel the same about us. We are the most “neutral” of the Big 6. We both have a rich history, haven’t spent ridiculous money, beyond our means (like City and Chelsea) both the Man U and both have identity; there’s a lot of parallels between both clubs. The thing that gets me the most is the standards. Across the years standards have been set by teams, referees, pundits ect. As an Arsenal fan, it literally feels we cant do right from wrong. For years we garbage. Weak mentally, shocking defending, getting bullied ect. Now, under Arteta, we have become a much better side. Yes, we havent won a major trophy yet. But we have improved in all other aspects. Yet we are constantly slated. We improve our defence and get accused of parking the bus. We have a much stronger mentality amd aggression, get acused of being too aggressive and using dark arts. Get called out for not winning trophies, yet we are going up against Liverpool and mainly City, who have dominated the EPL for the last 10 odd years.....just make it make sense. The other big thing is referees. Like hazam says, City dont seem to get any big decisions go against them. They seem to get so much luck and decisions go their way, that it does seem to smell of corruption. Other teams (not just Arsenal), get fined, yellow carded for surrounding the referees for complaining/calling for action and yet, City get away with it almost every game! Its despicable. Its also damaging the game we love, and its not helped by pundits defending stupid refereeing decisions.

There were so many decisions that had gone against Arsenal over the last 2 seasoms. Such unjust refereeing decisions had deprived Arsenal from winning the title. The letter of the footballing laws in the EPL only applies to certain clubs, and it is up to the sole discretion of the referees to exercise the law. This is what I conceive from the PGMOL. Hence, this could explain the inconsistent refereeing decisions in the EPL. Liverpool was robbed of a league title in Sterling's last season there. It was a Christmas season game wherein Sterling broke away and scored two goals. The referees hated and targeted Sterling heavily at that time. The referees called both goals offsides. The television replays showed both onside. City won that game by one goal, but if that game was referred correctly, Liverpool would have finished the league 4 points higher than City. Only, Man City DO pay referees! Their owners pay Michael Oliver a tidy sum to go whistle games in Oil States around Arabia. God bless this man. I love this game and though I’m an Arsenal fan I’m realistic and value tradition, history and integrity which I’ve always said Arsenal and Liverpool are top teams in the premier league with that profile. I dread delusional fans.
