Out of all the best midfielders we have had in the emirates era, santi is not the best. He is the most POPULAR among fans but not the best. Odegard is better than santi and Fabregas. If you put Odegard in that invincible team for example he would cook. Give Odegard Henry and he cooks. Odegards defensive abilities alone puts him over most. Then there is his flair.

Exactly thats what ESR and Viera miss now, absolute technical and decision making quality, ESR has lost his explosiveness as he used to be good at running with the ball and one twos with Martin or Bukayo, now I think he plays it safe(backwards) and he has missed his killer instincts in front of goal. he had 5 good chances to score this season despite his limited minutes. against brentford, everton, Westham(League cup) he missed at least 2 guilt edge chances in all those games. Make it make sense. ESR aint good enough anymore despite limited chances. Look at Timber hasnt played for while but when he came on the pitch you can see this guy is a baller, played the ball forward, took calculated risks, balls where fized to feet and he stoped them on dime piece. Lets get this english bias about ESR out of minds.

Hi Charles. With respect, when it comes to the treatment of Saka. I can not agree that it is unintentional as before Saka, it was Sterling for eg. When H. Maguire had his troubles in Greece. Excellent stuff as ever Charles! I've seen few reports on Douglas Luiz in last couple of days. Though mostly from Italian press which on the whole is notoriously unreliable. So couple of questions: 1. Have you heard anything about us being in for him again? And 2. Do you think he's more the type of midfielder we might go for? He and Bruno G play in similar positions but from what I've seen Luiz is more of a passer and Bruno a tackler. Of course both can do both but talking about where they are particularly strong. Feels to me Luiz would compliment Rice more but great to get your take.

Question: When talkinf earlier this week you were saying that Sesko is always going to favour a move to Arsenal over manure and Chelsea because of how good we are on and off the pitch in comparison amd I agree. However, I do wonder if our handling of younger players and particularly the young signings we've made recently would come into that. Vieria, Sambi and ESR, Eddie, maybe even Nelosn have been given limited chances and when they don't perform they're dropped and rarely seen again for months. I've no criticism of this, we're trying to win a league and can't afford slip-ups but we're undoubtedly putting the club before their careers. While at Chelsea and Manure, they don't have the same demands and young players are given more chances partly because the senior players there aren't performing. Don't you think this will effect our ability to attract younger signings going forward? Cheers, Ben.

I watched Saka's 25 minutes. At first I thought he wasn't looking very sharp and wondered where his spark was. But then I watched closer... he was really good but TAA doesn't combine with him. TAA was whipping outswingers into the box - hit and hope. He's got a good cross but we have some of the best attackers in the world. We can do better than that. Saka was making Arsenal runs and only Rice was trying to find him. Finally he wiggled through and got a shot away, not his best but another day and that's a goal. Ppl are thick asf.

I think several things work against Saka in the eyes of the English media. One is that he is the son of immigrants playing for the English national team. May be a bit of nationalism/racism there. Secondly, his name is not English at all. Which makes it easier to kind of disassociate him with the true English spirit. And thirdly is the fact that he is an Arsenal player. Talk about banter going too far.
