It's got to the point where whomever Arteta and Edu sign I just trust their judgement now. Yes, there's been a few misses, but they weren't big spends really (maybe Viera, but he looked a different player before his injury). They know far more about the player than we will ever know, and, crucially, they know how they are going to utilise the player. So I'll just be happy with whoever they sign.

My stance on Rashford is this: IF...Arteta and Edu etc have identified him as the one, and have faith in getting him back to the absolute 🌟 quality he undeniably has.....then I trust in the team...they've earned it. Have the same reservations as everybody else and the deal seems unlikely but if they want the lad, I'm behind him and them.

The thing with arsenal is that they need to change their policy even if that means we take a hit in the short term for example if we don't get the right offer to sell ramsdale then we have to keep him even if that means his value will drop, by doing that we are sending a message to the other clubs that we are no longer entertaining low ball offers.

Hi Charles. I think Arteta's new deal will be, up to £20 mill a year (incl. perfomance bonuses, etc) Also, Arteta strikes me as someone who uses his words carefully when answering a question. When asked, "what's next for Arsenal? His reply was "win, win, win" I might be mistaken, but I think that means he'll have good go at the treble, next season...team is almost sorted, maybe 2 or 3 incoming and a lot leaving. He'll have a squad of about 20, real quality and all possible starters. Players also now understand his philosophy, gameplan, etc. COYG!!!

Seeing as we have a good host of academy prospects coming up. We could take advantage of this good relationship with ajax and send them on loan over there. It's a club that has a somewhat similiar play style to ours that will help prospects like Nwaneri, MLS and Chido Obi Martin a lot. I don't really fancy the championship loans because most of those teams usually play the opposite syle to ours.

Why do Arsenal always get low ball, disrespectful offers for our players? Some of the clubs are literally taking the piss with derisory offers. Ramsdale was signed for £25m+ and had 2 great campaigns between the sticks. In that time, he was rivalling Pickford for the England no: 1 and has obviously improved his value. At worst, his value has stood still since Raya came in. Personally, he is (only due to losing his Arsenal spot) still England's no: 2 Being English automatically means his price tag should be premium. If the club receives an offer in excess of £30m+ then we should go to the negotiating table. If not, we keep him and use him in domestic cups and against lesser opposition in the CL.

TN&T mentioned that Ajax isn't getting much from Arsenal in terms of this "relationship" between the two clubs, would you not say that the fact Arsenal didn't go behind Ajax's back to encourage Hato not to sign a new deal with them is kind enough? considering as you said, clubs would usually be in the players/agents ear to discourage them from signing a new deal? plus, its not as if Arsenal are getting all these Ajax players on a low fee, they will be paying a hefty fee for Hato, or anything else for that matter.

Charles, on Jorrel Hato. I think he will be a great signing if we can sign him this summer. But, we also need to sign a striker, midfielder, winger and a backup goalie as well. Ajax would surely have put on a hefty price for their young star. Wouldn't it be a bit surplus if we sigh Hato before we sign any positions that are way more on top of the agenda?

Personally prefer a ball progressing midfielder that can dictate play and interchange with Rice as Declan isn't a great ball progresser IMO (why his combination with jorginho and partey worked well, they progress the ball great opposed to Havertz who doesnt). Loved Rice in that 8 role with his ball carrying skills. FDJ dream signing but impossibe given the wages. Kimmich another great shout but unlikely.

Love the vids Charles and TN&T! I really enjoyed listening to that last bit in particular when you were talking about club relationships and the Ozil signing. I absolutely love Ozil and he gave me so many unforgettable moments in his time with us, but I really cant help but think about how different the last 10-12 years might have been if we signed Benzema instead. Giroud was always steady but imagine if we had a Benzema throughout his prime and partnered him with Sanchez.... Might have been enough to prevent the Leicester miracle title win and give us the prem that year as well as been more competitive in the years prior and after.

there are always going to be less quality RW's available as 1. they're lefties and 2. they wont want to sit on the bench for backup to Saka. However buying an established quality LW would also help Saka. Saka plays every game as the team can be a bit toothless without him so having another winger in the team with good output decreases the reliance on Saka. Maybe Kudus is the answer, he can play anywhere.
