Maldini looks a proper baller. And quite a few of the other lads have bright futures ahead of them. Hope they understand how much hard work and determination they need to bring every day to become one of the 1%ers.

As a former CB myself, I love seeing young, physical, intelligent defenders get the praise and development opportunities they deserve! Our academy has been excellent in developing young attackers/wingers & midfielders, but it would be nice if we saw more defenders work their way up to the first team - hopefully Maldini can be one!

My family have supported Arsenal since the 1920s. My Grandad found a sense of belonging from supporting club - he was a Jewish refugee kid who barely spoke English, and being an Arsenal fan was very important to him. Two generations later, we’re all still Gooners, and I love that connection with the past and the fact it lets me be part of a something where everyone is welcome, no matter what their race, religion or background. Refreshing to see hoe the players are nurtured through the ranks... the work ethic is obviously drilled in early on and the motivation is the reward of playing in the first team... obviously for these boys seeing saka, esr, patino, and now ethan nnwaneri is a big motivational factor.
